Today's treat....dadar gulung (just found out its name!)

Was looking for more lopis or ondeh ondeh but have to settle for this...which is quite good....moist grated coconut and soft pancake.

(Pic for illustration only šŸ˜‰ )
Thanks Nebbermind. It is one of my favs but never bothered to find out the name.
Its been a while since I had those 😢

Do be careful with the confectionery buns and kueh kueh, got high sugar, trans fat, not much nutrition.

Collecting our blood/urine test from Doc tonight. DH's previous test result was a little high on Cholestrol. Mine I think will be high tryglyceride, it has been an old problem, I am not fat though, in good BMI range but you can be thin and still have high tryglyceride.
True . I have been vicariously enjoying all the breakfast options here. Greatly reduced bakery products and cream as it sets my stomach into a spin. So I feast here.

And nebbermind's dadar gulung has been too much of a temptaion.

Regarding high triglyceride, regular morderate exercise will bring it down. The doc had adviced that diet has less to do with it. Just regular walking can have a good effect. DH had a high level ( over 250 almost 8 years ago.) , the last 2-3 years its been down to 140.

Might just work for you, that is if you are not already into regular physical activity.

Ok, I shall stop leading others into temptation.

Maybe I should try to make delicious oatmeal based breakfast.

I recommend sanitarium oats. I usually add dried fruits and nuts to my oats. You can get tasty fruits and nuts from nuts and nibbles.

You can have it with coffee or any other hot drink. Just scoop the oats into the boiling beverage. Cover it and enjoy after 10 mins.

I treat it as meal replacement when I'm rushing for time or when I have poor appetite. Very nutritious!
