I bought a set of study table from V'hive and the whole set is always filled with fungus  .After removing them, the fungus will return in a few days, anyone has any idea how to fet rid of them ,besides throwing the table away? :stupid:

I have a study table and 2 booksheves from Vhive for about 2 years now. So far no issue. if its a recent purchase, maybe can get them to replace a new one? Don't talk to the sales staff, talk to the outlet manager. Good luck

I bought a low cupboard from V'hive about 2 years ago and I have no issue with that. But I bought a bookshelf 4-5 months ago and it started to grow mould barely 1 month after I purchased it. I think it could be due to the wet weather a few months back (i.e. the raining season in Nov last year through February). It looks kind of gross coz the white colour mold grows along the edges of the brown bookshelf and under the planks. It grows really fast and I was worried about the mold spores coz the bookshelf was in my DS room, and he happen to have allergic rhinitis. I have to turn on the plasma cluster air purifier every day and I was contemplating to either move the bookshelf out of DS's room, or I simply dispose of it

Someone thought me to wipe it with a layer of car wax, which I did. For some reason it did slow down the growth of the mold, and I just need to wipe it off with a dry cloth once a week instead of every day. Actually I'm not sure if it was due to the car wax or simply because the weather these 2 weeks have started to become hot, unlike the wet weather which can cause the air to become moist and damp, thus causing the wood to grow mould? :scratchhead:

Anyway, the delivery man who delivers and assemble the bookshelf did warn me NOT to use a damp or wet cloth to wipe the shelves. He told me to just use a dry cloth or a feather duster coz the wood may grow mouldy if it is wet...

Can I hijack this thread? I face similar problem but on the rubber lining of the fridge door. The rubber lining is lined with green and black substance (looks like fungus). Will the same solution work?

I don't think it'll be a permanent solution as the fridge door is in constant contact with water (condensation) and organic matter (your vegetables/meat) which will carry any mould or fungal spores. I guess can still wipe with vinegar but will need to do so regularly. Frequency is dependent on when you see them coming back.
