Hi mummies,
Does anyone know how to access the ask and learn portal for first time users (p1 kids)?
Any mummies of p1 girls already start using them? Can someone share with me the generic password for first attempt? (userid is bc no, yes?)
Thanks in advance!
:salute: -
Password is the BC number as well

thanks for the quick reply! It works brilliantly.

Anyone got affected by the school bus breaking down this morning? This morning, I received a call from the bus driver and he told me his van couldnt start so he told me to take a cab which is claimable.
So we called a cab and I brought my gal to school and was surprised to see the boss of the bus company around to help out w the traffic. Is he there everyday? Anyone know?
Even the drinks stall uncle is there to help too. U know, this is so cool!! I don't see this happening in other schools.
But I must say I am soooo glad that our gals' school bus vendor has been fantastic and responsible compared to horror stories that I hear.
Though it did caused me some inconvenience but I am not mad at them. At least they are responsible andddddd the main thing isssss I always look forward to going back 'home' (school). U know...once a IJ gal, always a IJ gal! IJ FOREVER! yes, tats how much I love my school!

The boss of the schoolbus company Mr Ng..a very nice n humble guy. He will help to direct the traffic during peak hours. My gals hv 4 different bus drivers over the last 3 years and all of them are very nice..my gals told me that sometimes the CCA driver will give them biscuits..feel so warm hearted to know that. My current uncle driver is also very generous..will give goodies to the kids during the CNY, Children day or last day of the term.Anyone got affected by the school bus breaking down this morning? u know, i have heard horror stories from my friends that the drivers wld just drop the kids and didnt bother anything else. And that time it was the poor gal's FIRST FEW DAYS in P1 going to student care. Student care teacher was late and the driver just left her there. The poor gal has to ask a stranger for her hp to call her mum.. CAN U IMAGINE???
So we really have to appreciate them and not take them for granted. They are already doing a great job! -
hi,
can i just check with current parents of chij primary has school bus service to the west side?
i am an ex ij girl but currently staying at chua chu kang. so would like some advice about whether it is good or worth it to let my daughter travel such long distance to and fro school each day?
also can advice what are the current school hours like pls.
thk u very much -
I am staying in Woodlands and I still send my gal to IJ TP as I am also a ex IJ gal. I think its worth it because its a good school and I know I will not regret it. Afterall, in the past, I used to travel from AMK & Yishun to Victoria Street before we shifted then to Toa Payoh.
She is in P2 now and she has been enjoying school. Recently, I did asked if she wld prefer to go one of the schools near our home, she said no, she loves IJ. Well, an IJ gal will always be an IJ gal. :rahrah:
School timing:
Mon-Wed - ends at 1.30pm
Thurs-Fri - ends at 1pm
You know the guards told me there are at least 50 buses (most r small buses/vans) because the gals are staying all over Singapore. Some are from Sengkang and my gal's school bus are gals from Wlands & Sembawang. Some bus goes to Yishun too. -
Hi Parents Please let me know the culture and character of this school ie how the teachers behave with the students, their workload etc as i am planning to put my girl next year. Your views are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Any of your child attend any student care? Which student care? Is it good.
-
I just call Pro Teach Toa Payoh and they say they are full. Is there any good student care near Toa Payoh.
-
Do you mean the student care already has a long waiting list for next year P1 or it is just currently full? You should call the student care again around Oct - Dec and put your gal on the waiting list for P1 class next year.

P1s have already been streamed into different Chinese classes after June hols. How often will they be streamed and when will the classes be confirmed for higher Chinese for psle?
Thanks! -
I understand from my girl’s Chinese teacher that there are a total of 6 CL classes and they are all core classes, just that girls in C1 and C2 are those with higher ability and the teachers will cover more vocabulary in their teaching when they teach the extra chapter under 深广. C3 and C4 will not cover the chapter under 深广; while C5 and C6 are girls who require more support from the teachers.
However, all the girls will sit for the same paper at the end of the year, regardless of their classes.
The % of P1 students going to HCL differs from year to year, depending on the performance of the cohort. So I guess HCL classes will only be confirmed at year end. -
Hi there
Do any of you know how many citizens applied within 1km at Phase 2B?
This year, balloting will be conducted for SC children residing outside 2km of the school.
Thanks! -
May someone confirm that under Phase 2B for Singapore Citizen within the distance of 1km to 2km, there is no balloting required?
thanks -
