Yes, put up is the correct answer.

‘Put on’ a great show changes the meaning of the sentence.

yeah, the answer given is invincible

however, i think that an argument can be made for incredible?

because, invincible means cannot be beaten, has not lost does not mean that he will not lose right?

and do we use most with invincible? is there a more or less invincible?
To me the question is flawed in the first place.

Invincible does not need a \"most\" in front. You are either invincible or not. The publisher should be told off.

Hi, I have a grammar question but not sure what grammar rule governs it.

"I am very sure I saw him (take / took) your wallet".

Most would answer "took", including me. The answer is "take". But why? Thanks.

Well when the person is speaking of another person doing an action, that time the action is not completed yet.

Its like saying " Yesterday I saw Tim drive/driving a blue motorcycle.

            So "take" is the answer.

Or "taking" would be a better option here…but since its not given, we have to stick to "take"

Thanks! Still hard to comprehend...don't think most people can get such question right as it's pretty eccentric and out of the norm. Agree that 'taking' would be better and make more sense in the 'continuous' or 'progressive' sense.

                hi

"Some" used for countable & uncountable nouns.
"several" & "a few" can only be used for countable noun.

in what scenario,we’ve to use several/a few but cannot use "some"??

Ivy went to buy "some" or "several/a few" packet of sugar.
