do you have enough sleep?
-
7-8 hours of sleep is sufficient for healthy adults. However, you will need more rest if you are unwell. If you are getting only 6 - 6.5 hours of sleep, try to make it up by getting extra sleep over the weekend.
Personally, I have insomnia & I have 4 - 5 hours of sleep everyday. Being a SAHM, I stay up late till 12 midnight to supervise my P2 girl on her homework. She is a slow worker & unable to focus. She is still in the afternoon session & can afford to wake up late. I wake up at 6 am to prepare breakfast for my elder son who is in the morning session.
I also having difficulties to get to sleep & tossing on the bed & counting sheeps are common for me. I will wake up in the middle of night for a couple of time. I even asked doctor to prescribe sleeping pills to help me to sleep. My friend has warned me on the side effects & I have stopped taking it for quite a while. -

I have been suffering from the worst issues of \"insomnia\" due to lack of enough sleep and I must say that a human being need sufficient sleep to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Lack of sleep may brings several risk of worst diseases such as memory loss, dark eye circle and many more.
Lack of sleep for a prolong period can lead to heart disease & high cholesterol. -
I take Melatonin for jet-lag and sleepless nights.
If I have hectic day brain too active, I will take much longer to fall asleep. So far, I managed to sleep 6.5 to 7 hrs daily.
A strange thing is, since 2+ years ago if I watch horror movies at night, I won't be able to sleep :nailbite: can stay wide awake till morning :faint: -
My kids don’t let me sleep even on Sundays. They are hyperactive and extremely mischievous. Even if they are in the same room with me sitting quietly one cannot say what they would do the very next moment. This has taken a toll on my health and my sleep has reduced considerably.

Pack their day with lots of physical activities so that they could use up their energy. Bring them to the park to cycle or play badminton. This will able them to sleep early & you could sleep early with them. -
That’s a very good advice, when the kids will play or stay engaged in some activities they would get tired at the end of the day. Thanks a lot.

I was told by a nurse that those who snore/ blow air outwards while asleep are actually having only 1/2 the amount of the total sleeping time.
blockage.

This reminds me of the joke:
My mum is weird. I have to sleep when she is tired. -

I read something about \"earthing\" products.
Anyone tried it before? Any feedbacks?
Hi,
I am using it. But frankly speaking, I am a insensitive person, so I have not noticed any difference. But there are people who told me that they can sleep better after using it.
I do not have sleep problem, may be thats why I dont see any obvious improvement. -

I do not know why these kids do not sleep at nights and then get up too early in the morning. I feel much annoyed at my young one and some times give her a little beating for being mischievous.
Does your daughter sleep a lot in the day? You may want to try cutting back on daytime naps so bedtime can be earlier. Also try making the room darker so the morning light doesn't wake her up too early. Does she sleep in your room? If you can put her in a separate room, it may help her sleep longer as she won't see you when she wakes. When my kids were young, I child-proofed the room and shut the door at night, so when they woke, they would play a while before starting to call me. I would also delay a bit and stretch the time so they got used to waiting about 30 mins or longer from waking before they started calling.
