i believe in building resilience...what i do not believe in, is getting past year papers done one set after another.
our kids have to learn to be strong because we are living in 'only the fittest one can survive' world and with so many foreigners, kids simply have no choice...and i do agree with what wonderm mentioned 'strong foundation, good learning attitude and study habits are important'. -
Yes. Do past year papers one after another. Then do corrections over and over again and they get it RIGHT every time without fail.

Provided teacher explains mistakes or else same mistake will be made over and over again. This kind of preparation for major exams has never changed
O levels will be doing ten years series and past year papers too. -
Today is the start of SA for DS1. Next week DS2. Luckily DS1 only has 3 papers for sec 1. Phew! Hope he will do ok.

Son started on 30/4 Monday with compositions for English and CL...history and science today. Total he has 13 papers, including Art. I hope he will do well. Daughter also had compo today and written ones will start this fri. -
Oh yes, I’ve totally forgotten about Art…

art is the last paper...2 hours ++
son has chinese and literature today...i can't help him bcos daughter had loads of homework...so relieved when we finally finished at 10pm

My son told me the Art standard in his class is terrible. All their drawings look like female ghosts!!! :yikes:
He better not show me his drawing or I might just pass out. -
I told my daughter I have no issue if she fails Art. I did too.
