      Thank you for helping...:)

      There were 35 fewer passengers on Bus Y than Bus X. 45 passengers moved from Bus X to Bus Y. How many more passengers were there in Bus Y than Bus X in the end?

      Hi

      The answer is 55.

      A neat way is to use MD.

      Another way is to plug in some numbers.

      Start with bus X having 85 passengers and bus Y having 50 passengers.

      Now move 45 passengers from bus X to bus Y.

      We have 40 passengers in bus X and 95 passengers in bus Y.

      This gives us a difference of 55 passengers.

      If you need the MD, please let me know, I'll do it later.

      Best wishes

            Hi experts, I've a question. Can you help?

            Betty baked some cookies. After giving away 72 cookies, and baking another 94 cookies, she had 250 cookies left. How many cookies did Betty bake at first?

            My answer is 228 but model answer is 322. Kindly explain to me.

            Thank you very much. 😄

              28 chess mathces were played at a chess tournament. If each player was allowed to play only once with each other player, how many players were there altogether ?

                B-72+94=250

                B=250+72-94=228

                [Betty baked some cookies]…at first
                [Betty give 72][seventy.two]…give 72
                [Betty give 72][seventy.two][22]…bake 72+22 (bake 94)
                <---------250---------->…left 252
                [—156----][seventy.two]…250-22-72=156
                [Betty baked some cookies]…at first there are 156 + 72 = 228

                  2 player = 1 match
                  3 player = 3 match (2+1)
                  4 player = 6 match (3+2+1)
                  5 player = 10 match (4+3+2+1)
                  6 player = 15 match (5+4+3+2+1)
                  7 player = 21 match (6+5+4+3+2+1)
                  8 player = 28 match (7+6+5+4+3+2+1)

                        Appreciate for the help 🙂

                        Mr. Thomas placed a row of flowerpots alont the path from the gate to the door of his bungalow. There were 18 flowerpots alont the path. A flowerpot was placed at every 5 m. How long was the path from the gate to the door?

                        Thank you in advance
