Can u elaborate your thought process that \" you will not be surprised that EJC hits double digits\"
It's possible for IPJCs to hit double digit COP as it is the forces of demand and supply, it may be unlikely but it is possible, especially so when MOE has given the direction that all schools will see an increase in places, meaning there will be higher supply, so I am not surprised if TJC or EJC hit double digits.mindays:
Looking at the increasing COP of TJC(IP) from the past.. and till now holding on to 9 pts.
At the same time looking at the start COP for new JC like Eunoia(IP) also @ 9 pts
It seem that a single digit of 9 pts is the minimum requirement for IPJC for both arts & science
Wonder whether there is a possibility an IPJC will end up with double digit (eg. 10 pts) in the near future
Just curious
Any facts to substantiate your assertion or you are just trying to put down EJC again ?
I think you have a bone to pick, if there is a possibility, why will I be surprised? -

No bone to pick, just curious on your scientific analysis that \"you would not be suprised that EJC hit double digits\".

EJC is not popular due to its temp school site, location and with no A level result track.
Once it has shifted to the new premise, more students will then take into consideration.
Even CHIJ st Nicholas O level track students are not attracted by EJC. -

If my weather forecast says that there is a 50% chance of precipitation, will I be surprised if it rains? Likewise, if there's a possibility of EJC's COP to increase (that would be double digit) or decrease, will I be surprised? -
Ksptan:
Right from the start, EJC was placed at the bottom (on par with TJC) among all other IPJCs, psychologically the students (or even their parents) coming from the feeder (IP) sec sch will be very disappointed by just looking at the COP of 9/9 of their IPJC.

I think since COP for TJC is 9/9, therefore, the 9/9 will then be considered as an \"entry level\" for any new IPJC to start with.
And the new IPJC will has to prove itself and to gain popularity to climb up the ladder.
If given a choice, I don't mind put my kids at EJC, but definitely not at the holding school. -
A St Nic mum told me their O’level girls preferred to go NYJC because EJC at the Mt Sinai is too far for them. Hopefully, with Mt Sinai campus only as a temp site, the situation will improve over time.
When RJC just started, as a new JC, it’s A’level results lagged behind HCJC. See how things change. -

Exactly, things change and in this dynamic world, everything is possible, so I have no idea why stetan has been harping on an absolute answer when we are so open to possibilities. Surprised? EJC principal also said cop 9 is a good start considering it is a new JC.
At earlier posts by other parents in this forum, they also say when VJC 1st started, cop also not so good, & it improves over the years.
Just because EJC & TJC have the same cop this year (that means only ONCE) doesn’t mean we can compare both and say they are similar.
EJC started at 9, but can still improve.
TJC’s cop was lower & better previously, but now it dropped to 9.
The STARTING point is different. So cannot compare. -

You could have forgotten that you were the one who asserted that EJC is worse than RVHS without a single shard credible evidence
How would you like if one were to go to VJC or NYJC thread and leave derogatory comments like what you have done. Like how my girls often remind me, if you have nothing nice to say, please don’t say.
