Hello, is there anyone who received a CO from NUSH and has no Math/Science Olympiad experience & awards?
I know that some CO/WL have experience with Olympiad but didn't win any medals.
I also believe there should be some who have never participated in the M/S Olympiad.

I’ve also heard of cases where even Mathematical Olympiad platinum medalists and gold medalists in SPSO were rejected by top schools.

Having medals is definitely an advantage, but it’s not a golden key to RI / RGS / HCI / NYGH / NUSH

Hi Phtthp the grandmaster, I am curious, what happens if a child applied 2 domains to the same `school? Would the school offers 2 COs (say if the child cleared all 2 rounds for both domains) or the school will only offer one CO so that other applicant`s will be given an opportunity
You can apply for two different DSA Talent domain, within the same Secondary school. But eventually, they will offer u only one CO. The possible outcome are :-

          1) if u get short-listed for only one domain, u will be informed to come down for Round 1 trial for ( Sports / Performance Arts / Academic subject tests).

If can pass Round 1, then next round will be an interview.

          OR

          2) if u get short listed for both domain.

          Example

          Let's say,
          example (in Raffles Girls Secondary)
          u applied for

          1) Maths Academic domain +
          2) Leadership domain.

          What happened Is :-

          A) if get short listed by RGS for Maths, you will attend Round 1 Maths test. Assuming that u managed to pass this first test,
          then, next,

RGS will invite u to come down for Round 2 test, which include an interview.

In that Round 2 test (Maths academic domain), first is a group Performance task test, where Officer ask some qns, and go down the group one by one, to answer.

After group Performance test is over, then,
          followed by an interview.

          B) suppose say, u also got short listed by RGS, for the 2nd domain (Leadership), concurrently.

          What happen ?

There is only one interview conducted,
          if u get short listed,
          for both
(Maths Round 2 test + Leadership) domain.

When u attend the interview, besides either the Principal or VP or HOD present,
          both

the Maths Academic DSA Officer in charge plus the Leadership DSA Officer in charge, will also be present, at the same interview.

Each of them take turn, to ask u questions. The P cum DSA officer (Leadership) will ask you qns concerning Leadership
          while
the VP cum Maths HOD will ask u qns about Maths. You have to be mentally prepared, if they were to ask u this qn,

          \"let's say,

if we can offer u only one CO, between Maths and Leadership, which one will u choose (prefer) and why ? \", then u must have your answer ready for them.

After u leave the interview room, they will evaluate. They will consider how the way u have answered them + also take into account the results of your Round 1 Maths test + your group Performance tasks done.

          In the end,
          RGS will only offer u
          \"one and only one\" CO.
The one which the entire RGS DSA panel team deem that ... u can contribute best (most) to RGS, in your next 4 years stay in RGS. When come to year 5, you will go to RI, out of sight, out of control of RGS because RI side will take over from year 5, onwards.

School admin has many things to do too I guess. If u hear of offers being made and nothing received by another applicant, can assume unsuccessful, or call office to check if all offers out.
