DSA 2024

There are 2 types of decision making :-
1) the decision made by P6 (parents + students ), whether to accept or to reject the CO / WL offered, Is done -
AFTER the PSLE is over is October,
but
BEFORE the actual PSLE results are out, released in November.
This Is the answer (reply), to rosm question posed.
2) However,
the decision made by the DSA school itself, for students who are offered only Wait list, not been offered CO -
will be released on the actual date, when the P6 students collect their PSLE results slip. The WL students will be informed, whether they are successful or have failed, in their WL conversion.
WL : waitlist -

Hello, i know schools look at p5/6 results for dsa academic.
do you know if for p5, do they look at WAs or more of SA2?
My dd did better in all the WA than SA2, and the overall year AL score was better than SA2 alone. thus i am wondering. -

Secondary schools VP / Ps of course will look at the entire, whole year results ! Often, the year end SA2 results bear heavier weight

Dear Parents,
Needed some guidance here. A child may apply for two talents in DSA. Assuming if my child is going to use his football and Robotics, can he still apply for SST. SST is also DSA so i am not sure if this has exceeded the limit of two talents. -

There is a cap of applying 2 talents if same school. But u can apply to SST as your 3rd listed option.

Hi Parents,
I have two questions. One related to the application process and another regarding the COP.
1) I understand that the application process is somewhat automated where it will include all the awards, subject grades, etc that the school knows of.
- Are we able to see during the application process what is provided by the school so that we know what we can include in the next section which is awards outside of the school?
- If we apply DSA for science, does it make sense to include in the section for awards outside of school, competition awards not related to science, I.e. math olympiads and even sports?
2) COP. Say if we got the DSA offer for a particular school but for PSLE we didn’t meet the minimum COP, does the school still accept the kid? If not, typically what is the threshold that the school is willing to accept?
Thanks parents. -

Thanks Zac’s mum.
One clarification on the COP. Say a particular school’s 2024’s IP is 4-7D but if a kid’s PSLE score ends up to be 9M, will the school still accept addmission if they have secured a CO place during DSA? -
