Why need to rush, can put the clothes in the machine and set it wash in the late afternoon. And if cooking, can don't hang out until after cooking is done. Alternatively, put the clothes in the washer at night, set it to wash in the wee hours and when you wake up ready for you to hang out, before the sun is up. Or let the clothes wash during dinner and hang it up after you are done with your DD's revision.

If set to wash in late afternoon, it won't be dry in time to be folded.
If clothes are not hung up immediately after wash, it will be crumpled.

Don't you hang it overnight till next morning to block out the sun? Still have specific time to be dried ah? So much restrictions. And here I thought SAHM have more flexibility in their time. 😓

What time do you get up in the morning? I wash and hang my laundry early in the morning and it's all hanging before the sun is strong enough to matter (before 7am). My routine is to load and start the machine before getting breakfast for my kids, then hang the clothes after they've left and I've had my own breakfast. Then I ignore them till the end of the day.

Sometimes, if I know I will have a rushed morning, or I intend to sleep in, I will wash and hang the clothes overnight. But I will usually wash later and be hanging clothes at 11pm.

I just throw most items into the dryer. No need to hang or depend on the weather or worry about haze. Rain or shine, monsoon or not, haze or no haze, clothes are done.

I was very reluctant to get a dryer initially but the monsoon months were terrible for me. Now I highly recommend it, especially if anyone in the family has sensitive noses. And of course, saves me a lot of time.

I air dry indoor. Either hang clothes on clothes liner in dining room or hang on bamboo in kitchen.

Okay le, clothes smell nice even though not out in the sun.

No fixed schedule. Can wash anytime. But I generally prefer to wash in morning. Unless urgently need some PE shirts then wash in late afternoon or early evening, will be dry by next morning

I air dry my clothes in my balcony too. During the morning, the sun shines in and thus my clothes can get a good tan.

I usually wash my clothes in the evening during the weekdays.

This morning, I heard FD over the radio - he said nowdays its not the old folks who have chronic sicknesses. Young people in the age group of 30-40 are beginning to have heart attacks etc. All this boil down to work stress. He said ME TIME is strongly recommended to overcome early health issues.

                  I couldn’t agree more.

                    Same practice.

                      Before maid, a few scenarios.

Get home, put one load, set it to wash, go do my stuff, shower, etc, while machine does its stuff. Hang up laundry before I go to bed. That will most likely be about 2am.

or if too tired or too late,

Put laundry in machine, set timer to complete wash by the time I wake up. Next morning, wake up, wash up, hang laundry, change and off to work.

                      Or

Wake up, wash up, put one load, set timer to finish washing by the time I am home. Get home, shower, hang laundry, do my stuff, off to bed.

Now my helper will put one load to wash after she prepares breakfast for my kids. While the clothes are washing she will sweep, mop, whatever. I will send kids off on their school bus and go for my morning walk/run. By the time I am back, laundry is done, house is clean, my breakfast is ready and she can take a break before starting on lunch.

usual practice…wash and hang clothes at night.

how else can I sit comfortably in front of PC without interruption in the morn?
