Tested Positive about 10 days ago
It is good to hear that you have relatively mild symptoms of Covid and is well recovery now. Agree that Booster shot is very important. We got our victory over Covid-19.

MOH's protocol says when one tests negative from Day 4 onwards or irrespective of test from Day 7 noon , one is out of isolation. Since the chance of being infectious after Day 7 is low even if one continues to test positive.

Across the globe that seems to be the consensus - the most infectious stage is 1-2 days before actually testing positive to 2-3 days after testing positive. US CDC suggests 5 days isolation from the day one is positive , followed by 5 days being masked when in vicinity of others. So technically saying you can still be infectious upto 10days... albeit the chances after day 5 is low.

With that in mind I have isolated for 7 days fully and even though I have tested negative, as I wasstill coughing, mostly isolated in my room , masked when I go out of my room as well as minimising interaction with others. Planning to go back to normal from tomorrow. :xedfingers:

To each his own, but this isolation thing was pretty stressful to me. From Day 7 I have been going on walks , even went cycling. Now to get rid of this hacking cough.

          Missed this post..

LNW, did you go PCR test at doc..and that's why you got the 180days?
My husband went to do PCR test by doctor at Clinic. For me, I believe my company has reported my case to MOM because I work for the Government. Only my boss told me that I am exempted from vaccination (if any) for 180 days. My company request us to be fully vaccinated because we are high risk essential sector.

Be patient, don't drink any ice drink and take any oily food for the time being. Sleep early is also a must.

For irritating coughs and sore throats, anything cold will make it worse as low temperatures constrict the throat. Oily and spicy foods also irritate the lining of the throat. So try to go for mild foods - both in temperature and taste!
