Lilo and its888me, what class did your children go in? I went to 1H.
1K. She said it's the last class according to alpabetical order :rotflmao: and next to her class are two sec 2 classes. Her class and another sec 1 class are the only two sec 1 class in Level 2. The rest of Sec 1 classes are else where :scratchhead: -

DD has to bring an extra dark colour t-shirt and shorts apart from the AHS PE attire she's wearing with skirt n shorts. Maybe extra t-shirt is not necessary for boys? Maybe they will be having some water related games hence girls need to bring extra \"dark\" colour t-shirt.
Hi grownupbaby,grownupbaby:
May I know what to wear for the next 2 days?
In the letter to parents given out on reporting day, it said to wear PE attire. However, my child told me got to wear the uniform bottom + PE top.
I was also told we were given login ID to check as all the info was put up on the web. Were we given that during the reporting day? I don't seem to find any info from the transparent zipper folder given on that day. But managed to login, but didn't find any additional info.
Please help. Thanks.
Yes your child have to be in PE top and uniform bottoms. However I encourage your child to bring along a PE pants as there is a need to move about and some activities that might be a bit physical. -
DD just sms to ask if parents attending tmr’s ceremony/talk which is not compulsory. Any one can share what is the programme for tmr whether it is curriculum briefing for parents or it is just a ceremony to officially welcome the new cohort?
TIA.

Is there a need to rent the locker? My child said can keep books under the table. Is it safe?
Do we have to make the decision now or given some time to decide? -
Hi,
Think it is not too safe to keep books in class. Moreover, if not wrong, locker rental fee is sgd10 per year, so better to rent, then kids can also keep a set of stationery in the locker… My dd has been complaining about her heavy bag -
I think it is better to rent locker coz in case the book(s) kept under desk is/are lost, to buy new book is $5-$15 each. Furthermore, must go Popular to buy. Also the kid would hv written notes in their book(s).
My concern is if the kids keep everything in locker then we have nothing to check/review.
Lilo -
My child called to ask during recess and said today is the only day to decide. We already decided not to rent, same concern that the books will be kept in the locker rather than bringing home for revision.
Does anyone know if we can still rent the locker? Who to contact at the school? -
Hi, how did Anglican do for Os? How many students with L1R5 6, how many with L1R5 7? Need to find out my chances for appealing. Thank you.
-
Hi everyone, i am pleased with the locker rental. My DS prefers me to let him manage his personal stuff like studying materials and stationery etc. Think he needs to learn how to manage the load in his backpack, what he can leave in his locker n materials he needs to use and study. Feel that the bag is getting heavy.
-
Bags will definitely get heavier as time passes and I heard that you can rent lockers at the General Office, not very sure though. Os was okay, mostly above National Average, only distinctions in Geog (A1 and 2s) are below avg. Mean L1R5 is 11.4 if I remember correctly. The school didn’t post who got what L1R5, only who got 8A1s and above, 7A1s and 6A1s.
-
Any idea how many students got 8A1, 7A1 & 6A1?
Thanks -
never count how many students , but they showed lots of lots of slides with lots of TOP students' names

Hi dancing raisins, I wonder where do students fr AHS usually end up in…which JCs are popular, do some prefer the poly route…

Hi. For sec 1 this year, they've change to use \"discovering Mathematics 2nd edition\". Not sure why they change from \"shinglee\" which was last year sec 1 text. -
Eddow:
It seem that most IP & SAP schools are either using New Syllabus by Shing Lee or Discovering Mathematics. Thanks for your reply.mummy so kiasu:
