HAI.... This friday is Children Day but my DD (P6 this year) still need to go school for revision. I took a day leave , now need to cancel.

The school is stressing the kids :x
My nephew told me that he has 8 classmates sick last week. Guess may be due to stress.

My ds's school has been assigning at least 3 exam papers each day as homework since last week. Imagine he reaches home ard 4pm after supplementary class and after his afternoon nap + dinner, he can only start doing his h/w from 6pm. 1 exam paper takes 1hr 40mins so it will be almost mid-night by the time he completes all h/w.... 😢

Yes, there are still ongoing supp classes for 3 times a week. The teacher was very relaxed throughout the year. She’s either on mc every now and then or she can take 2 months to mark a compo… :x When I asked my ds what do they do during supp class he says as usual exam papers. I was thinking what’s the point to rush thru so many exam papers if she did not put in effort during normal lessons.

              Oh....it's common hearing.......
last year, my gal was also loaded with 2-3 exam papers daily, bound to have maths, science or chinese.....
same case for my gal, after afternoon nap and dinner,
she could only start her HW at 8 p.m
she tried to squeeze some time in school doing HW during lessons time..... haha sometimes kena caught and gotten a scolding.... 😉
most nights she could only finish at 12 a.m

Really pity these kids… Do you all think it really helps by rushing thru these exam papers? I do agree that they need practices but the teachers shld take the time to go thru and explain their mistakes so that they’ll get to learn from their mistakes right?

I tried to give my dd challenging questions posted here at KSP. I spent so much time choosing, solving and printing them out for her but she just doesn't have the time to do them 😞 So I told her tt I'll not print anymore questions for her to do. We also agreed tt on days she has supp lessons, she just need to do 2 hrs of work, on Tues when there's no supp lesson, she'll do 4 hrs of work and on Sat, 6 hrs of work for this last lap. I'm trying not to stress her and myself. Honestly, I think her sch prepares them rather adequately.

That’s good planning. To be frank, I’m feeling very stressed as psle draws closer but I’m telling myself that I’ll have to control my emotion and change my mindset so as not to stress my ds further…

                      Wow ,

DD gets abt 6 papers a week
                      No more sups.

And she sleeps by 9;30 pm

But if kids hardly sleep 6 hrs then :?
Even I cant be at my best if i have that less sleep for days together

Btw, my kids used to sleep at 9pm but since last term, they’ve been sleeping at 10pm. I told them latest is 9.30pm. My dd said believes she’s the only one in class tt sleeps at 9pm. Many of her classmates were allowed to watch korean drama tt started at 11pm? Some also stayed up late to play computer games. I also know her good friend sometimes do hw till 11pm.
