      Hi Twinkies,

OUR kids are our precious gems...they should not be determined by 3 digits.
      Some kids are really geniuses.
BTW, I wasn't referring to you regarding high expectations...please don't get me wrong.

Hi, Janet. Totally agree with you that our children are our precious love. I was trying to share about the topic of \"stress\", it's not a one dimensional, single profile emotion, stress is more complex than we could perceived; it certainly not just an expectation of a 3 digits that lead people on to the path of stress. 😄

Hi to all pre, post and current parents and child,

Please help to report the highest PSLE score 2012 in your school here, and if possible the name of the child so that we can congratulate him/her for her hardwork!

        Many thanks in advance!

maybe this year a dark horse from neighbourhood school gallop and spring forward to the front shriek \"Here I am !\", challenge the cohort from usual 9 GEP centre.

last year, Rulang challenged entire GEP cohort.
this year - which neighourhood school ?

MOE slogan - ALL schools are bagus !

count down ... 2 more hours left

tick tock tick tock tick tock ...
heavy traffic coming into this webpage ... after 12 noon clock strike
            dong dong dong ...

this is so funny, MOE is trying to reduce stress of not annoucing the top score and student, while kiasu parents here are gathing the score… this shown that there is alway another avenue of getting info. instead of having everyone speculate on the score, MOE should publish it and appraise for the well done. :0)

kiasuparents.com has been mentioned in the straits times of late...reporters know that even if MOE doesn't reveal...ksp will. we are all above 18 years old, so cannot issue gag order.

I am for reporting the score, it is afterall, only 3 digits with zero soul. Why the need to give names? We want change, change is coming yet we are undoing it here. :scratchhead:

I can report the score of the highest and the school, NOT the name of the child.

:rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: All the best to all P6er :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

Today is a special day. These moments of excitement and anxiety - cherish it, its a part of your life.

As a parent, be there for your child. If your DC has gotten those 3 digits that are beyond expectations or below it, don't forgot the 3 words that are far more important :snuggles: . Remember to keep aside your anxiety and be a supporting part of their special moment.

Also remember , even when your child has done well, there will be some of his/her friends who did not. It is a life lesson how they handle it. Being happy for themselves, sharing a friend's pain, smiling thru their pain for your friend's success. It is an intense emotional experience.

For me , it was a day I wanted my child to remember. So I bought a good book and a large box of chocolate as surprise gifts. I wanted her to have something to remember this experience years later, long after the box of chocolates shared with her friends has dissappeared and the value of those 3 digits reduced to nothingness.

                        :celebrate:
