Hi, my girl started CMA around 5+, now she is k2. I don't mean to test her, just ask her to do some of the primary 1 math questions to familiar with the question format. She is capable enough use her mental sum to calculate addition and subtraction. Hope she will use her skill on buying food when she admit to p1 next year.
In case you need for referral, Here is my girl's detail:
CMA branch: tampines
Child name: Letisha Deng
student No.: SG0060062
Pls let me know if you need more information.
Hi Amy,
My son will be going for the pre-entry assessment this friday.
If all's good, i will sign him up.
Is it going to be difficult?
My boy can write numbers well. Not too sure if can handle the abacus.
Yeah its a good idea to provide him w this skill.. have not really thought about him buying things on his own!
Thanks alot for your reference!

:D
pre-entry accessment? My child didn't go through that, leh.
As long as the child know the number, it is all right to attend class. Actually my teacher told me that they prefer younger one than the primary school kids because their mind is more fresh, like a pieces of white paper. -
amylqf,
Is the Tampines branch CMA good? -
VooVoo:
As this is the nearest to my place, so I didn't have chance to compare with other branches. They rent the shop house, as the business is getting better and better, I feel the space is a bit crowded specially during weekend. Other than that, I am ok with the teacher. When I raised my concern, they would always address to me face to face.amylqf,
Is the Tampines branch CMA good?
hope it helps. -
Hi, I’m new to this forum. Thought of signing my kids up for the abcaus class at the Kovan branch. Like to know how much is the course fees?

Hi WIWIWY,
CMA charges $250 for 10 lessons, once a week. You can quote my son’s reference and both of us get 8% rebate from the fees.

Hi Ksmummy,
May I get your permission to use your child’s reference if I enrol my child there? What is the duration for each lesson?
Thank you. -

Hi, heard from my colleague that CMA fee has increase from $250 to $270 for 10 lessons already… She feel very tough cos of the fee & she would like her son to join in the CC abacus which using one hand method & of cos the fee is very much cheaper…
I paid $108 + $10 for the training material. My 6yo old daughter has been learning abacus for a year & she is now at advance stage where multiple has comes. She has no problem in addition, subtraction & multiple of 3 digits… division will be coming very soon & she has already know how to do the sums as well… I’m so proud of her & never regret to withdrawn her from CMA… (I can sit in with her in CC but not in CMA, so not sure how she progress in CMA previously). I withdrawn her becos of the fee & also the books not able to return to us after my daughter had finished)
Forgot to add : The duration is from 415pm to 6pm but teacher always prolong the duration to end at 630pm…
(different stage different date & time) -
Hi Ksmummy,
Once again, thank you
