just wondering...

anyone knows whether there are any CO for MGS & SCGS, through Dance??
      & roughly how many offered??
      thanks in advance..

personally my dd noes 2 girls from SOTA audition who has COs for SCGS, both are giving up SCGS COs for other schools as SCGS for dance is mainly for 4 years and they have offers for 6 years in even better schools. My dd did not apply for SCGS though just sharing here. wat I understand SCGS is not as popular as 1st tier popular schs like the RGS and NYGH and MGS and specialized dance program sch and usu used as a backup. So if I am assuming if one has either MGS 4 years CO or SCGS CO, most will choose MGS which still got chance to convert to IP based on results. If recieve MGS IP CO vs SCGS CO, usu most will be in favor of MGS. How many rec'd CO for dance heard also not a lot but a lot of WLs for dance as suspecting most are using SCGS as a backup. Usu ppl will choose SOTA, MGS, NYGH if using dance DSA.

You are unable to switch from O level track to IP track regardless of result if you got in the sch via DSA (even in dual track sec sch). This was what parents were told during DS1's orientation last year (he is in a dual track sec sch).

DS2 received a CO thru soccer from sec sch A (offering both express and normal streams). In the offer letter, it mentioned ‘With this Confirmed Offer, a place has been reserved for you in the school, provided you indicate the school as one of your preferences during the Exercise School Preference Stage from 30 Oct to 3 Nov 2017. However, you must still be eligible to attend a course offered in our school based on your PSLE results*.’ with footnote * i.e. the Express, Normal (A), Normal (T) courses.

Does it mean that the place is confirmed, depending on DS’s result to see which stream he will be posted to, i.e. Express or Normal?

Sorry for the noob question because I always had the impression that PSLE must score at least 200 point to meet the DSA criteria. Or this 200 points min is only applicable for DSA via academic route?

      TIA!
He said it's painful carrying his heavy haversack because of the buttons so I let him wear singlet underneath.

Yes it's a common complain. Try telling your son to pull up the shirt's shoulder strap after he has put his haversack on his back, ie. after he pulls the strap the button should no longer be resting under the bag strap, and hence pressing on the shoulder. It should help alleviate the pain.

thanks so much for the great advice. my DS also have this complain. will try to do that tomorrow...
Hianz...... Design fault!
