      Hi,

Next Thursday will be the last day of term 2. Friday will be the parent-teacher meeting session and tentatively heard from dd that P6 is required to come back in the 1st week after term 2.

Cannot compare kids like that. Some are stronger in certain subjects. More important is to know where are his weak areas and work from there. Good to sit with him to go thru' together and come up with game plan. At least he will feel \"ownership\" of area he wants to improve.

[/quote]Not really comparing kids. But using their grades all throughout primary school and esp in p5/p6 to gauge what how their eventual PSLE score will turn out. I have 2 previous examples, mah.... I think the gauge based on their relative grades in p5/p6 can be quite indicative. It is \"solid\" evidence to my no.3 as to how much more work he has to put in, that's all.

So far only know dd needs to go back next week. As such the remaining 3 weeks have to DIY.

Perhaps the school will give them more past year exam papers for doing during the 3 weeks.

where we get the past year exam papers

Hi, there are three sources of past year exam papers as far as I know:

                1. PSLE examination questions Years 2006 -2010
(Usually is a practice that school will order for the P6 students or
                can buy it from Popular)

                2. Top school 2010 P6 Prelim Exam or even earlier
(Download or purchase from the vendor/shop)

                3. School interchanges the exam paper with other school

                Hope the above information useful.

Hard to answer this question. I think the immediate solution is to work more for Maths so as to familiar with the methods/strategy and increase the awareness/sharpness/accuracy.

As for Science, need to identify the weaker area is on either Life Science or Physical Science and put more effort accordingly.

Just my 2 cents thought! Jia You!
