      KoalaMummy:
How would you react if you ask a friend something and she give u a short reply? But when your other friend came and ask her the same question, she told her a lot of details. And you are also present then, how do you react to it?

if the 'other friend' is a closer friend to that friend, then i probably brush it off that she is not comfy talking to me.

or could it be that u were asking the question at the wrong time? ppl hv moods…sometimes I juz feel I want to hv some quiet time and will only give a short and quick reply…

however if this happens to u all the time, most probably she doesn’t want to share info with u…

My hub’s group of friends, got one of their wife is like that.

If person A ask her, she give short reply.
If I ask her, she will tell me more.

Person A got offended and asked me why she tell me so much more but never tell her.
All my hubs told her was, "My wife is professional sweet talker. She is trained to sweet talk ppl to give info. How you think she manage to milk so much info from her students that even parents don’t know about? Don’t feel bad. You want to learn, you can ask her to teach you."

For me, if I were you, I will feel really offended! C'mon, same question I ask got short reply. Another friend ask got full decent reply? I will then really consider why this \"friend\" is like that and what is the difference between you and the other person who got fully reply? If you manage to figure out, well & good. If not, never mind but has this type of incidence happen before? If so, next time don't bother asking this \"friend\" lor, can always ask another person!

Sometimes you never know what the other person may be thinking when they react like that. It could be she does not want to \"educate\" you preferring to keep the information to herself. Or she may just want to show the other person she knows the answer for whatever reason....

              :celebrate:

Wah, Chief finally loosening up, no?
After all, he set up \"kiasuparents\" with the tagline \"we not stupid too\". So surely he should be capable of such \"ah pek\" talk!

Well if she’s so curt to me, then she can forget about me sharing things with her! Fair.

Just do the same back to her when you have the chance.

everything you did, you must have done better than her so maybe she is in a really competitive mood, trying to catch up and overtake you.

but to do so in your presence, goodness, her eq is really low. no wonder she cant catch up with you.

Oh... I certainly have a few loose screws in me. I hear them rattling everytime I sit down at the computer to ksp.

It would be more meaningful if the TS can maybe quote what is the question asked?

It really depend on the type of question, for e.g. it is technical based or gossip type of question? these 2 are very different in nature…
