            Hi all,

Appreciate anyone free to solve a maths problem as follow:-

Some apples and oranges were packed into blue and red boxes. There were 12 more blue boxes than red boxes. Each blue box contained 120 apples and each red box contained 150 oranges. Given that there were 120 fewer apples than oranges in total, how many apples were there?

            Many thanks,
            Stary :?

Need help on this question. Please explain to me :? Thanks

Mr Lim packed 387 apples. Each apple had a mass of about 24g. He put them into three different baskets. The mass of apples in the Basket A was 3 times that of the apples in C. The mass of apples in Basket B was twice that of the apples in Basket C. The mass of the empty Basket C was 140g. What was the total mass of Basket C and the apples in it?

                  Let me try :
                  Basket A ~ 3 units
                  Basket C ~ 1 unit
                  Basket B ~ 2 units

                  Total Units = 6
                  Total mass of apples = 387 * 24 = 9288g
                  I unit = 9288/6 = 1548
                  Hence TOtal mass in Basket C is 1548 + 140 = 1688g. Appples alone is 1548g.

Joel & Ramah have the same amount of money. After Ramah gave $52 to Joel, Joel had twice as much as Ramah. How much money did each of them have at first.
