Thanks for sharing .... Not verure how DSA work

      Eg.
      If it is sport dsa
Go for sport trial -->take general abiliity test [GAT-->interview ---->insuance of confirm fr dsa sch.

Does it mean that for sport dsa, after interview will be a confirm offer?
Hi , may I know more about DSA? What if u are being selected , do u still need to do well in PSLE ?

Generally the COs will state some conditions - so far the common condition is so long as the kid qualifies for Express Stream, which most ppl interpret as around 200 for PSLE.

While there is a saying that some kids will slack after getting the CO from their dream sch, presumably because of the easy qualifying conditions, most kids will still want to do well in their PSLE because of carrot (EESIS), pride, self actualization (ommm...) or tiger mum :spank: EESIS is a scholarship for kids who did very well at PSLE.

How to get eesis? Above 265 or even higher?
The EESIS are awarded up to the top one-third of the total number of Secondary One pupils admitted to all Independent Schools (IS), based on their PSLE results. Last few years the COP for EESIS has been around 260/261.

For dsa via performing arts, is there a need to go for interview since there’s already audition cum interview.

Why r so many mainstreamers going for interviews under academics at NYGH? Thot dsa's for highly talented sportsmen/ musicians? Not so much for academics 🤷

                    Just to clarify.
Is d criteria u stated (1/3 of IP) correct or is it top 3% of cohort?

The criteria I stated is lifted word for word from the MOE website. It is top 1/3 of students admitted to all Independent Schools. Therein lies the confusion because how do you calculate those numbers right? Anyway, a few years ago, some clever kiasu parents discussed the issue and came to the conclusion that this criteria corresponds roughly to the top 3% of the entire cohort. 😂
