Thank you for this information.
Just to clarify, for ACSI, sports DSA boys need not have met the IP COP of 255 etc to be in the IP class. So long as they do well enough in the HAST test they will be admitted to IP regardless of their PSLE scores. -
Envy those who can apply for DSA. My son does not have anything to qualify him for DSA. Have to depend on his PSLE result. Good luck to those apply for DSA!

Tell your son to focus on his PSLE. Work hard and aim for his dream school! -

NUSH did not ask for certified true copies last year. Do not need to submit copies during application. During selection camp or after receiving CO (cannot remember when), only submitted photocopy without any need to certify true copy.
Yes, considering NUSH cos' of the Maths and it's not that far cos I'm staying in Jurong. The other school is of course RV but worried about the HCL. Not sure if DS is really keen to do it in Secondary.... Actually I would prefer to go via PSLE t-score, but I think DS is probably in 24x range.......
And thanks to you, Funx3 and all the rest for the info on what needs to be done. Didn't realised have to be certified true copies.....too long never do all these stuff already (did that only when I applied for my first job 20 years ago
)
For RVHS, application form ask for certified true copy to be submitted during application.
So different sch different requirements. -
My son is P6 this year, his results are not good. Thus I am thinking of DSA. He is currently member of CO in is school and they are going for SYF competition this year. He played Cello and will be going taking his grade 4 in June.
Please advise the chances of DSA and also what school can he try for DSA? When shall we proceed wit DSA?
Thanks! -

Are you talking about this? The EW Barker Institute of Sports? http://www.ri.edu.sg/main/EWBISConfmum42:
The programme is called E W Barker Scholar Programme for those who have COP below 240. Those 240 n above will do IP route. But if they do well in sec 2 they will be transfer to IP so some boys will still go thru this DSA sport route even if they have to go for the 4 yr programme first. This programme will be v good for those real sport talents as it cater to their trainning n learning needs.
From the New Paper write up it appears to be a sports school of sorts with sports-related disciplines. I remember being confused by the article when I read it last year bec it seemed to be a separate school with different curriculum and emphasis.
Yes. Now RI will not loose any academic or sport talents. -

Or is it just a grouping of sports DSA boys in the same class learning at a different pace catered to the tight schedules of the boys but essentially the same syllabus? From the article it appears to be the former. Do you have more insight? -

It is in RI compound, sorry not sure about how the programme runs. I only know if they can't hit the IP requirement during the four years they will do the O level , do not know RI will put them in any special programme after the O level. -
