DD is from the mainstream. Her classmate got email informing her of the date of interview at RGS too. I am wondering do they send out the email in batches for difference date of interview?

She was upset not getting the email for the interview and we told her the school might be sending email for interview out in batches.

      Any comment from parent here?
My DD also waiting impatiently, keep asking me to check email everyday....

My DS is from GEP too. together with him there are few of his class mates in the camp but unfortunately they didnt get . So NUSH dont see GEP/NON GEP. It is based on the Test & Camp and DC profile.

And my another friend's DS is from Main stream got CO too.

For yr ds classmates who did not receive the CO fr nus high, are they good in maths and science?

My ds's friend (GEP) was awarded platinum for SMOPS but was rejected by NUSH. Don't know what he got for NMOS or RIPMWC though.[/quote]What about his science? Mayhe he/she did not do well for round 2 where the pupils are solely tested on Science.

Anyone heard of any pupil who has consistently excel in both maths and science but failed to get a CO from NUS high?

DD is mainstream and she had her RGS interview today. However she is Under DSA Sports. Was a panel interview which was more of a chit chat.

          Now the anxious wait.....

          Gd luck all
Wow.. she must be a top sport girl! :yikes: As long as her P5 & P6 SA 1 results are above average, she should be able to get in. Good luck to your DD! :rahrah:

Yes, rather surprising he got rejected with Platinum in SMOPS. Maybe he didn't do that well for the Science portions. Then again, there have been cases of students with Platinum in SMOPS getting rejected by other top schools too. Maybe there needs to be a Diamond award in SMOPS if Platinum is no longer exclusive enough.

Wondering where could have gone wrong if she is not granted the interview. SA1 she got A for all her subjects and she is one of the top 5 sport girls outside those who have hand pick by sports school.

                Stress..................

sports DSA are meant for top few at national level for their respective sports

if you are outside the group....I would suggest you manage expectation and don't put so much hope - that is more detrimental. Just go study hard for the PSLE. grade A is a wide range below A*.

I don’t know whether I am doing the right thing, I don’t update DD on DSA matters. She went for auditions early July. So far no news.

She is busy preparing for prelims, I don’t want to distract her. Afterall, when we decided to DSA, I already told her not to take it so seriously, just try the best.

She clocked 80 hours training per month and averaging 85 for all her subjects. I can't be asking for more.

Guess just have to move on and seek alternative route.
