Please share your views in comparing NUS High School with ACS IB Programme. My son prefers NUSHS. Also elaborate on the boarding rules of NUSHS like is it compulsory or not?

Does it mean all top 20 boys is all schs will be invited by SJI to apply for dsa? Or only affiliated?Zekezachzoom:
A small number of children in my DS school have received email from their affiliation secondary school to invite them to apply through DSA (academic) for their new IP program starting next year. The school also invites parent to their IP talk. The DSA application starts as early as 9 April.
My son is from a neigbourhood school. The top 20 boys from the school (based on their P5 SA2 results) were invited to apply for SJI's DSA.
However, I am a little puzzled and hope someone can enlighten me on this.
According to SJI's website, DSA is only for students with special sporting abilities. The rest of the admission is via students' PSLE T-score. So, what is this DSA about?? :?
What is their psle cop if succeeded in dsa? -
My DS is invited as well, he is top 20 in a catholic school. so should be affiliated?

Today, I heard from my son that one of his friends who is a GEPER from the NO.1 top primary school told him a secret. There is a patten question in RIPMWC2012, 1 box(don’t know how to draw) 2. My son also did not know the box meant what, so just anyhow guessed. But the teacher in that school told all his pupils in this competition that there was a computer printing error only in their school and the box should be printed as ‘-’. The teacher said that other school’s computer all showed ‘-’. My son said if he knew the box represented ‘-’, the question should be very easy.
So I think this competition is not fair and I don’t care the result. -

Even RGS has this so called \"marketing strategy\" for DSA \"to create awareness\" amongst the P6 pupils.Zekezachzoom:

During my gal's yr, the principal of RGS wrote to numerous primary schools in SG
to invite the TOP few cohort of the school (based on P5 sch results)
to the \"Tea Session wth the Principal\" where they talked abt DSA to RGS before applications started.
(dunno whether they will continue doing so or not for the coming yrs ?) -

With more Schools offering the IP, every school would want to attract the best students to their IP track. Children with good academic records will have more schools chasing after them to woo them over through DSA route

And if she really doesn't care about the results, why bring it up here (in DSA thread)??? Mind-boggling :?
