I also believe in fate & divine intervention. DH & I all prepared to accept the only CO DS has on hand after being rejected by HCI. Thot DS already agreed but last night, he raised the possibility of forgoing the DSA & try again via PSLE. :yikes: :faint:

Now I dunno what to do. Just told DS, we'll discuss about this after his PSLE is over. So he better make sure he studies hard.

DS actually prefers HCI > RI, though he is ok with both sch. When his good friend (whose result is better than him) didn't get CO from RI but CO from HCI, I was thinking : Oh it's really fated !!!

But who knows, he just told me yday that his good friend may put RI as first choice. :slapshead: He then said he'll try to convince his good friend. I cannot tahan so told him that he has to read info from both schools & decide base on curriculum, culture, feeling, liking... etc & not his good friend.

I look at it as \"divine intervention\" - My dd has always been a \"fish n chips\"(sorry snow crystal, I am stealing your line) cum grilled salmon girl rather than a xiao long bao girl. Almost everyone whom I know says that she might eventually land in rgs. It was only after the gep fiesta that she became interested in nanyang. Her reason? - that's a place where she can improve her command of chinese language.

Throughout the whole dsa process, she has told me on several occasions that she would choose nanyang if they accepted her. Actually, I have been quitely worried that she might not fit into nanyang. This is because even she herself has said that her personality and profile are better fits for rgs than nanyang. So with this outcome, at least I can lay fear to rest.

Agree with you that the outcome is a little perplexing. Based on what she told me about the interview, I thought she was quite ok. Perhaps from the interview, they could see the initial \"rgs\" etched on her forehead :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Congratulations to all KSPs and DDs who got CO or WL from NYGH!
My dd got rejected by NYGH but luckily has a CO from RGS. Like cluelessmama, I too, think my dd had 'rgs' all over her. Probably didn't help that she told NYGH that her siblings are at Raffles :roll:

You need to decide. We faced a similar situation last year. She got CO from another very good school B but my girl's heart was set on going to school A. Finally we didnt take up the CO and waited for PSLE since I felt she had performed well (just felt but not sure). She got into school A.

Also know of a friend's DS who gave up CO to another gd sch and got into his dream school based on PSLE result. His PSLE score turned out to be the same as the COP though. They considered prelim results and how their DS thought he did in PSLE. It's a very difficult decision to make and my heart goes out to you. Just wondering, if my DD has already made up her mind which co to take up, do we inform the other school? Will that help to expedite the conversion of WL to CO for another candidate?

I feel we should. Though it is bit peisah to say\" No\" to school that gives your CO. But it will be better for others who are holding WL, they get higher chance to be converted CO earlier, right?

Remember one of ks parents from last year shared that NGYH invited WL holders for tea session as well. On which the Principal told them, if they put NY as the first choice, it is almost certain that they will get CO. (one parent referred it as music to his/her ears). Hope that will be the same case this year.
