Hi,

First time posting here.Yesterday recd email that my DD was unsuccessful in her CCA DSA to DHS. Havent the heart to break the bad news to her as she is busy planning a Teachers Day surprise with her classmates & dont want to spoil her mood.

I am much encouraged after reading some of the posts here that a lot of those unsuccessful DSA students go on & did very well in PSLE to go into their dream school. Hopefully, this setback will also spur my DD to study harder for her PSLE! Hope some of you will post more of this (unsuccessful in DSA but success in PSLE stories as I believe there are a lot of parents whose DC didnt make it thru DSA). Anyway, congrats to all those who have COs & WLs.

      best regards

My DD told me that she want to go Cedar girls but she had a place in SCGS which she do not wish to drop it too. She said that she will accept SCGS but if PSLE result turn out to be good, she will want to move to Cedar. She said she attend one week SCGS and ask for transfer to Cedar. Can she do in this way? Will SCGS allow?

If you accept the CO from SCGS, MOE will not allow transfer even if you meet the COP of Cedar.

Think transfer is not allowed not just after PSLE.
Think will not be allowed at all for DSA students throughout the 4-6 years.

if you accept a school via DSA no switch is allowed any time. ACS I princi gave this info. If you apply for switch schools will check if the student is via DSA or PSLE. if DSA no appeal is allowed. if PSLE then appeal might be considered case by case basis and availability.
