Got a 2nd hand Kawai piano from Century piano more than a year ago.
Piano condition was good (as far as I know) and their after sales service was very good.
The boss, Patrick, was a very nice helpful guy.
Called him regarding some funny sound I heard when DS was practising on National Day (thou the tuning is juz 2 days before that), he actually made a trip down to my place within 2 hours and got the problem solved, without charges. I was totally impressed!! -

am totally tone-deaf, so to me all pianos are the same. therefore shopping around for trust-worthy shop instead -
I also bought a 2nd hand Kawai recently. The shop I bought from is called Music Odyssey. Call Mr. K.S. Toon at 97457442. The showroom is located at 52 Ubi Avenue 3, Frontier #02-38 Singapore 408867.
This shop specializes in Yamaha and Kawai 2nd hand and they are imported from Japan and refurbished to almost brand new quality. Very happy with mine. -
has anyone bgt from zadok before? went to century but there was not much selectection - only one kawai and no yamaha, the rest all china brand.

i bought my piano from century piano last yr. its a used yamaha ard 18yrs old. there were a wide selection when i visited.. the lady told me her shipment jus arrived few days ago so i had quite a few to choose from.
very happy with the after-sales, she will call me when my tuning is due. went shopping at many places b4 finding dis shop at kallang leisure park. rec dis to anyone who's looking for good service. -
how much is the px range for those who bgt at century piano? they quoted v high, like a 20+ yr old MC series (not U1), at $5k+, kawai 14 yr old at $6k. they said the price is higher than other 2nd hand shop cos they hv 10 yrs instd of 5yrs gurantee (not warranty). we din bargain cos the asking price is alr more than 50% higher than others (eg a 20+ U1 is selling at ard $3k in most shops)…we also realise that they tend to “lower” the age of the piano, eg both sets of kawai they had then was abt 14 yr old, but they claimed that both are less than 10yr.

Hi,
Recently went to yamaha and the sales person mentioned that it’s no point getting a 2nd piano that is more than 15 years is it true?
If having a budget of about $3000+ for U1, how old will the piano be?
Lastly, any trustworthy shops selling second hand piano to recommend? -
i bought mine at $4500. according them, they got the pianos from japan direct & not from local sellers. i did went to some shops with cheaper range ($3k+) but the inside not so nice lo, abit rusty… my hubby didnt mind paying a bit more if the quality is good.
anyway so far the piano is doing well.
as for the serial numbers, i did my own check online & it tallied with wat the salesperson told me… & they have a book to show me the serial numbers… so i was sold! hahaha…
