      Oh My Gosh:
      micollh:

any idea grade 1? as we havent got the date but was told sometime in April

All ballet grades exams are around same timing - April. Your ballet teacher should have receive the exam dates from RAD so it is good to check with her. Few ballet teachers prefer to reveal the dates after the \"Open House\" which parents are invited to \"see\" the progress of their child and briefed of the exam dates and points to take note for the examinations (e.g. no accessories, reporting time etc.)

Just like piano exams, the ballet exam dates are not in order of the grades i.e. for a particular date, there may be exams for Grade 1 in the morning, Grade 2 in early afternoon, Grade 4 in late afternoon etc.

Jiayou, let's wish our girls all the best for their ballet examinations next month.

      thks !

btw, my gal is putting on weigh and is there something liek the ballerina must maintain certain weight range? when heavy, tip toe-ing become more painful..

Bleeding and bruises I heard is very common doing pointe!

There is no link, except usually people associate ballerinas = slim and sumo wrestlers = heavy weight :rotflmao:

My DD also putting on weight yet my MIL keeps feeding her with increasing full bowl of rice and worse, she loves to eat. Luckily at the moment, she is on the meaty side, not plump yet. But I have to constantly remind her not to finish all the food MIL gave her (cos my MIL is of the opinion if she finished the food, it means not enough and will keep increasing the quantity!). Yet I don't want to encourage her to waste food... :slapshead: dilemma...
