All About Ballet

hi,
Have you actually call or walk to check with moving arts.
Per my understanding, they would ask you to bring your kid for a trial to let the teacher to assess whether she is ready to go for ballet class. -
KKL, Thomson Plaza houses Sylvia McCully Dance School. They take students from 5 yrs onwards, intake is in April.
Dancepointe at Taman Jurong and Jurong Stadium is pretty good (or at least there were good teachers a couple of years ago). There’s a branch at Sengkang too I think. -

i have make appt for the trial lesson. They are having promotion in Jan $5 for the trial lesson.
I just want to find out if their teacher is good. -
Hi,
I did talk their staff people where my understanding, the teacher will also be judging whether the child is ready to take the course or need to come back few months. -
Can i ask, for those very beginner pre primary type of classes, is the leotard and shoes and all still compulsory? I just want to see if my girl keen or not before I buy the whole set. is that possible? any school allow that

Even if they don't allow, it is quite easy to borrow from friends whose kids outgrow theirs just for your trial purpose. -
Hi,
Wasn’t your kid went for the trial class and did she mentioned that she like it or not before you decide to enrol in the class. -
@ks2me>> wah must be i anti social lol, can't seem to find anyone wanna lend me
@monstermummy>> but i think 1 trial lesson is hardly enuf for the kid to tell if she like leh. many times bring her for class, 1st lesson say like after that not keen, run around in class liao

i'm intending to send my 6 year old dd to ballet but would like advice on the following sch/options :
- Crestar
- The Ballet & Music Company
- in community clubs
How do they compare in terms of the right technique & skills of the teachers?
Gee, if i do sprout some silly questions, pls forgive me  -
I think alot of it boils down to the teacher who’ll take the class. Crestar has some good, experienced teachers. In CCs, there are different ballet schools who take the class depending on area. I know Dancepointe operates at Jurong and Taman Jurong as well as Sengakang. They have quite a few good teachers when I use to play for them.
As for Ballet and Music Co, I’ve heard rather negative feedback, but I’m in no position to comment since I’ve not worked with them before.
