Thanks funz. I will go buy it during my next round of grocery. I think I should be able to get them from supermarkets...
Oh they grow so quickly? I better go check on my pandan leaves later.
Pandan leaves seem to be withering. Just realized my helper put it in the shade. Must shift to direct sunlight tomorrow. -
Thank for the tips schweppes.

Apart from growing your own herbs, you can teach Science to your kids using the plants to help them understand plant parts and their functions, plant lifecycle & reproduction, etc. Makes science lessons more fun and engaging for your child

Dh my plant doctor also mentioned that if u intend to grow flowers, better to get them from more reputable nurseries or bigger supermarkets, where they probably have a higher turnover of plant seeds sales.
Also, he mentioned that don't be discouraged if the flowers take some time to bloom or sometimes it may not bloom at all. There are occasions that the seeds are of poor or old quality. Alternatively, it can be due to our climatic or soil conditions that are not conducive for growing that particular variety of flower plant. A lot depends on luck and trial and error. So it's definitely not because u do not have green fingers and thumbs.
No harm giving it a try. In fact, I find it rather therapeutic to see a bit of nature in the house. Bringing a bit of the outside into the inside, if u know what I mean. Really reminds me to slow down and smell the flowers (or in this case, enjoy my sunflower).
Balm for the soul, especially in this rat race world. -
