As long as his mother doesn't get on my nerves or stir up problems, I'm very happy and relieved. -

Of course there are good ones around...and those are the ones whom DILs will treasure very much. Those women who have good ones will get to enjoy having 2 mothers.
My in-laws are good people and we generally get along. I know i complain far too much about them, but i think it's just me, not them. Also, no matter how good a person is, when you have to live in close proximity with people you don't know all that well, you can expect some level of disagreement and tension.
There are. I've heard of some good MILs. and the praise are from the DILs. sincere ones.tree nymph:

I have heard of good MILs....it is just our \"luck\" to get those crazy MILs. My MIL is still asking my DH whether needs her to take care of my DD. She doesn't dare to pop that question infront of me anyway
My DH is willing to give her mum a 3rd chance.....OMG... -

MummyThreeStreams,
So you see them frequently…but staying together will be different story. -
stayed with them during confinement (just one freaky month!) and it totally tarnish whatever good impression i had on them before the baby was born.
so far, i haven't heard any good MILs so far, at least in my circle of friends.
rather sad isn't it?

Does your MIL look after your gal well...like cook and bathe her...or 打包
meals back ?
I'm not sure as she just try for a few days and some more is not full day. Then she has some post menopause problem and start to give us a lot of problem. She once told us that she feed her niece who is not even one year old those noodle from coffee shop. Also she asked whether my DD wants to drink her cream of mushroom when we were eating at a western rest. My DD is juz 14 mth old. OMG! Maybe I'm being too concern but I won't give these food to a infant. -
Hi Mrs Ang,
My kids ate porridge cooked at home…whenever we go out. I will cook it 2 hours earlier and put into Thermos flask…this continued until they were 2 years old. Hubby’s mother will make comments like kids are so precious :x I don’t give a damn if she does that to her daughter’s kids but not mine.
Now waiting for them to fly to US…better still if they stay there for 1 year. RELIEF !!! -

Of course that would be BEST...but if they can be stuck there for 2 years, I would be very happy. After all, they are looking after daughter's 2 precious sons. Stay there for LONG time better.
