Have you paid for shipping already ? How much ?

Busymom:
It is quite straightforward. Just paste the dangdang link, enter product name, shipping, price, quantity. Everything is in English.

Will definitely try it, after I have decided what to buy. By the way, a silly question. I have so far been ordering directly from dangdang, if I now want to have the books shipped to Singapore by Peeka, do I indicate this on dangdang website? Do I have to provide the address for dangdang to ship to Peeka instead?

You don't have to do anything on the dangdang website. Create a new order in peeka, paste the links of the books you want to order. Peeka will order for you at dangdang.com and peeka will fill up their address. Note that there is a $5 service charge per order.

I am so heartened by my little girl.
Hi maltbibi,maltbibi:
Hi Tamarind
Hope you could advise me.
I have been going through the 四五快读 books with her. She is now at book 4 going to book 5. She can recognise most of the words that I have taught except for few words which she sometimes forgets. But when comes to reading the short story, she sometimes can read the words out.
Do you think I should continue to move on a new chapter or revise constantly the words with her?
Thanks.
My kids also forgot some words that they have learned. I picked up the words that they forgot and put it in a special ziplog bag, then revise with them once or twice a week while moving on to new chapters.
Another suggestion is to paste these easily forgotten words on walls so that the kids can see them every day.
Note that even when we have completed the Si Wu Kuai Du books, we must ask kids to read out loud from story books every day, otherwise they will forget what they learn very quickly. They must read story books everyday until we are sure that most of the words are in their long term memory, then they will never forget.
she actually asks for the SWKD cards! and for some reason she likes the SWKD series and sometimes picks up book 3 or book 7 and says she wants to read them. I try to explain to her (dunno whether her 3 y.o. mind understands) that she has to learn the easy ones before going onto the other books which have the harder words.
over the past few months, I only do the cards with her for as long as she's interested (abt 10 mins at most usually). I try to surface them regularly but usually I forget and we end up looking at it once a week on average.
She likes playing the 'game' where she gets to keep the cards that she reads correctly. And those that she gets wrong, I hold on hand, and ask her again, until she remembers it and says it right, then she gets to 'keep' them. She knows almost all the 12 or 16 words from the first lesson already. and a few from the second and third lessons. her accent is a bit weird but i let that pass.
Sometimes i think she's more interested in cutting up the cards but guess it's good that at least we start somewhere and she still has a very high level of interest and excitement wrt this series. :rahrah: -
