shurley197323:
Just to share my happiness. My DS surprised me with 100% for science SA1 paper today :rahrah:
Wooooowwwww....
:congrats: -
DD’s results are out. All Band 1 except for Chinese. And ironically, Chinese is the one subject that she has tuition. But I guess without it she would not even make Band 2 for Chinese. And as expected, marks lost due to carelessness for Math and for Science, marks gone as she answered base on logic rather then based on what is shown in the picture.
Am happy with her results. So per her request, we will be having beef Sukiyaki for dinner tomorrow. -
I’m not happy with DD & DS SA1 results. DS was better than DD, but then she was really sick during her exams, so maybe I should give her some grace on this.
Anyway, this has been a good learning experience for both of them. They’ve understood (hopefully) that they need to buck up for the next round! -
Quick question.. ..Do we entertain tuition centres when they request for exam paper copies? Wondering if it is a norm practice..
TIA -
Normally, centre requested might gauge the setting of the question as well as where the student normally made mistake that result loss of marks.

Wow! Shurley197323, congrats!! didn’t know you can get full marks for Science. Thought Maths was the only subject that can score full marks!! Fantastic. I m sure he will be streamed to gifted class next year.

OIC... Thank you Monster Mummy..

If you are uncomfortable, you can also reject their request. For me I roughly will go through the paper and spoke to the teacher because I usually know my child whether he understand the question or not. As most of the question if the centre go through before, he should be able grasp but only careless result loss of marks.

Congratulations to all whose DD or DS scored wonderfully! For the rest of us, let’s try harder!

My gal got some results back. English 43/50, science 73/80. How do I know what band since it’s not over 100??
