Is 15 years old too young to send overseas for studies?

lovejoypeacce:
I think should be fine. You still have a couple more months to prepare her.rosemummy:
[All the best to your girl. 2-3 months is quite ok actually. There're many ways to keep in touch. If she's going only next year, she should be turning 16? A little young, but not that young. My girl was 16 when she started uni in US.
No, she will turn 15 next year. -

Haha. But I think the petition is for primary school education. Not sure if what I said is relevant. But go ahead if you think that helps.:goodpost: May I have both your permission to add the above quotes to the Petition thread ?

I think it is good to wait for some more time. She is going through her teenage time, she need your care and attention now.

i went overseas when i was 14, depends on the supervision given during the time.
i was staying in boarding and they pretty much kept close tabs on what you do -
Time flies…my girl will be going in one month’s time…I am getting sentimental liao…

Wow! Yes, time flies. Here’s wishing her the best! My daughter has already spent a term and very happy. Keep us updated!

Hi all,
Just got back and I am glad to make that decision.
Can literally see my daughter \"blossoming\"!
She now enjoys her classes and take delight in her homework. She was given opportunity to take up a leadership outdoor course where she get to learn sailing, abseiling, tramping, bush walking and rock climbing. I can see she cannot wait! -
Wow! What a fantastic update!
Keep them coming! I'm sure there are many parents who want to know, so that they too can decide if such a path is suitable for their kids.

Very difficult to route biz trips via NZ - it's so out of the way.
Unless you're a pilot or aircrew? ;D -

good to hear your update. I have been pondering over this subject since you posted last year and am one step further into taking this route as well. -
Glad to hear that. Please let me know if you need any information etc. I will be happy to assist.
Just got some glowing reports from the teachers there. I have not heard such comments when she was here in Singapore. Hopefully she will continue her love for studying and the momentum will stays. :imcool:
