My dd has finished her Prelims. She was quite worried that she might not do well. I told her to focus on this week's PSLE Oral and that Prelims is just an indicative of how well prepared she is IF tomorrow is the actual PSLE.

Thus for those topics that she feels she needs to practice or concentrate more - now is the time to do so !

So good luck to all DC who are taking Prelims in the coming week or so.

      Jia you ! :rahrah: :rahrah:

Best of luck to everyone also for Thursday and Friday PSLE Oral !

      :rahrah: :rahrah:
Thank you. All the best to your DD for coming PSLE too! šŸ’‹

Is it \"safe\" to say that oral topics that appear in past psle will not appear again? Of course last year's topics will definitely not surface, but what about other years? Ds tuitor ask him to practise those not discussed in the psle booklet, saying that those past topics will unlikely to be tested again. However, his sch teacher gave them a stack of suggested answers to past psle oral topics. It will definitely take him hours to read them, and I wonder will it do more harm to his already limited brain capacity?

It is unlikely that past 5 years topics will appear so soon. Can go through the much older ones. Chances of appearing will be higher.

Btw, just met up with teacher and she mentioned that competition will be great due to dragon year and thus the 'bar' for grades (a, b etc) may be raised. :gloomy:

Yes, competition is great. COP of top schools will be higher due to higher demand. Whether the \"bar\" grade will be raise, depend on the average performance of the cohort. Moderation will take place if the papers are too easy or tough. Most likely to be tough papers for this coming PSLE. All the best to your DC's coming PSLE! :rahrah:
