in PSLE maths paper, to draw models pencils can be used or not pls help, my DS is in PSLE this year his handwriting is very bad so I always advice him to use pencils in drawing

Can, but my ds refuse to use pencil, give excuses like forget to change. His model is drawn free hand without ruler somemore! My P5 dd on the other uses pencil & ruler to measure until the exact cm so that each part looks the same. Wasted so much time! :slapshead:

Gender difference :scratchhead: ? I have the same problem with my DS too. The ruler is right in front of him and he can still be too lazy to reach out and use free hand to draw :slapshead:
\\
here too the same DS has a very careless writing, free hand drawing and DD in K2 BUT has a very good hand writing, yesterday had parent teacher meet all of DS teachers says to improve writing, worried much about his writing and alomost PSLE IN JUS 40 DAYS

Good to use pencil, easy to erase if draw wrongly. Marks will not be given for model drawing. However, it can help the child to better understand more challenging questions.

If there is no marks for the model, I wonder why my DD's teacher wants her to draw the model neatly with ruler. She likes free hand but bit messy.

DS has the same problem - sometimes I cant make out his 6 and 0! He would even cross out or write over his mistakes (and he is using pencil) - that makes it so hard to read. Dont understand why it is so hard to reach for an eraser.

I always ask my DS to read what he has written after 2 -3 hrs time, then he himself cannot understand his writing, so for the past few days I am trying this out, and for prelims math paper , oooooh… so worst, I asked him to do the same problem in the remaining space with much patience, and that was much much better, must give him practice for the remaining days

All parents, do remember to pack your child's entry proof in her/his bag for tmr oral. I already set alarm to remind me to keep it in DS's wallet. 😉

My P6 ds writing is very small & he scribble until I have to read the whole sentence in order to suggest the words. Whereas my P1 dd writing is so much until not enough space for her to complete her sentence. Gender difference? I don't think so.

In sch, teachers keep repeating to ds & classmates that they have only 20+ days left! She is refering to school days. The kids are like :stompfeet:  cos they say weekend still got study what, not fair!
I tell ds he very happy go lucky, no stress hor. He says they are stress, just that they (incl his friends) are trying to be cool about it. Teacher mentioned some kids are stressed up and don't smile in class nowadays. Asked to watch out wor.

Just wondering what's that \"entry proof\". Is it from MOE or from the school? My child got a slip of paper from school, it does not seem official. School just stated the reporting time, didn't even provide any other info. Also, the slip of paper was gotten just yesterday, wondering why so late...?!!

Can someone tell me if they will be quarantined or can just leave after their turn? My child got to report at 7:25am.

                    TIA!

Maybe the entry proof had been taken by the teacher. My dd just told me hers is with the teacher.
