yes...this year is hot for RSS....but can figure out as the condos are all almost ready except for a BTO site...
Lots have moved in ...so i guess will be tougher to get in at Phase 2B n 2C...
good luck to those parents applying at those phases... :xedfingers: -

I guess it depends on the school? I arrived at 9am and was only called at 10.45 to go in the room for registration. The form took less than 5 mins to fill but spent another 45 mins to be called to really do the registration (cos only 1 staff doing). By the time I could leave the school it was 11.30am
Too long. Or was there a long quene of people in front of you? Anyway, first time I hear of only 1 staff being engaged for P1 registration exercise. You should have feedback to the principal or VP. -

Which phase are you eligible in? If in P2C
The only good thing is RSS has no clan associated to fight in 2B.
I guess the surge in P2A2 is due to the rising birthdate in 2006?
Things may get worse as 2008 has more babies.
Sorry to pour wet blanket on you, what you are hoping for is difficult. -

Hi. Sorry to be the earer of bad news but if MOE reject your statutory declaration, then there is nothing you can do. If the school is outof range for your phase (i.e. no likely vacancies left by distance) then you might want to have back up plan to register your child at your own home. Illegal alteration of address for registering can have legal implications (fine and jail term), not just having your child removed from school.Hi all
I failed the statutory declaration today. Reason being they say my mother is not consider caregiver for my daughter. My daughter is currently in childcare now. But next yr, she will be under my mum's care when she goes primary 1, which is why i want to enroll her in the sch near my mum place. MOE officer told me the criteria is my mum shd be the main caregiver currently, not in future when she enroll in primary 1.
Anyone face such situation before?
Kindly advise. V desperate now as the registration is near.
Thanks. -

HOW do they determined?? your mum can be the caregiver after cc. isnt it so? -

is your child in half day or full day child care centre ?
if is only half day child care, then your mum is still the caregiver in the afternon after your child return home. You can counter argue on this basis. -
Hi,
Reading the various posts, it seems the registration process can take a short time or a long time, depending on the school. Therefore, in the event of withdrawal of a school to register in another school (eg. if initial registered school is oversubscribed and balloting required and therefore want to withdraw and register in another school that needs no balloting), how should it be done?
For withdrawal, do we still need the original documents there for them to verify and approve the withdrawal?
Can 1 parent do the withdrawal, and the other parent being at the new school to start the new registration?
For the photostated doc, we can have 2 copies on standby, in case need to use in such in event. But for the originals, if theyโre needed at the school during the withdrawal process, then it might be quite tough to rush to new school with the docs rite, especially if we only know that the initial school is going to be oversubscribed in the last hour of the final registration day?
Apprec some advice! TIA!!
