1)A locksmith had a total of 272 gold and silver uncut keys in the ratio 12:5. After cutting twice as many gold as silver keys, the ratio of the number of gold keys to the number of silver keys became 5:2. How many gold keys did the locksmith cut?
2) After saving for a month, 2/3 of S’s savings was the same as 1/2 of M’s savings. S then spent $330 and M saved an additional $430. In the end,the ratio of S’s savings to M’s savings became 2:3. How much did they save altogether in the end? tks -
