Hi! There's a new Childcare in Punggol, Ci Ai, opened by the Buddhist temple nearby. Is anyone placing their children there? I've enrolled my son to the CC. He'll be going when he's 18 months, actually most likely 19 months as I want to wait until after his MMR vaccine to let him join the school.
Hi lyra, do you mean fo guang shan? So is the childcare located inside the temple or near the temple? -
My gal is is Bright Juniors at Punggol Twenty-Fourth Ave.
Very pleased with my decision
Teachers are friendly and helpful, Principal very involved and engaged with daily activities and manages the kids very well. She plays a very important part in helping my child in settling down. I was pretty nervous during the initial period when I see my gal cries when I dropped her off, but what the Principal did was very reassuring! She would do up collages of what my gal did in school - gal @ nap/ @ meal/ @ play and etc and send to me to update me on how my gal is doing. Seeing my gal getting on well in shcool under her care (as well as her teachers) put my heart at ease. The principal seems to know every child in detail lor. I’ve seen her chatting with some other parents at random times, and she can relate every little things that each child did in school, give advices and feedback to the parents. I supposed she spent lots of time in every class in order to know the WHOLE school haha. I’m impressed coz I feel that for a teacher to know her class children = should be and expected of, but for a Principal to know every child in the WHOLE school, it takes lots effort lor. Especially after gethering feedbacks from many friends whose kids are in other childcare, seems like what my gal’s Principal did is not a ‘norm’ … some Principal I heard just sit in office lor. Overall, the whole environment and feeling there is very ‘homely’ Big garden / outdoor space, in the midst of nature… I like -
Hi
Anyone can recommend childcare centres in punggol, sengkang and hougang with low student to teacher ratios? The one my child is in has 1 teacher to 13 kids in playgroup with another teacher helper that is shared with the nursery class of 16kids, sometimes when there is any sick or on leave teacher, it would be 1 to 16 for at least 2 hours of the day! wonder if this is appropriate but i always get the feeling that there is not enough help and attention for the kids…Thinking of getting one whereby my kid can get more care and attention…thanks in advance! -

Oh, I live in punggol but send my kid to a church kindy in hougang. Quite impressed by the lessons and relatively low fees. Punggol childcares all have looong waitlists! But haiz... Might need to change school when I deliver my second child coz no school bus. Any punggol/sengkang/hougang childcare or kindergarten with smaller class size to recommend? My child is so active...
a bit off topic, but, does anyone have a tutor for preschool to recommend? Must be able to handle my cheeky boy. Pls pm me
Hi, which church kindy is yours in?
TIA. -

Hi Miffy Ang, very sorry for the late late reply. Yes, I mean by fo guang shan but its not located within the premise, its somewhere else under void deck. I just visited and it looks ok, new and clean, but I can see teachers letting some kids just cry it out at a corner while the other kids play. Is this normal or is this bad practise? Not very sure as its the first time I visit a CC.lyra:
