I went to Kent Ridge Tutor at next to Lot 1. Teacher Shah went back to India. I like her contents of the intensive course. Now the teacher is Winnie, Shah's friend. And Winnie's contents is not on stategies which I am interested in.

Orchard & Goldhill too far.

Carolinesg- What kind of strategies are you looking for? Maybe can learn from you too!

I remember last time I saw Teacher Shah’s format on PSLE Intensive English is something like:
1) How to tackle cloze passage
2) How to answer comprehension / skills in answering comprehension
3) What are the things to look out for (ie grammar, compo)
So I am looking for something like that, not just doing doing doing.

Carolinesg…Thanks for info. GlobalEnglish is 1.5 hours x 5 wkdays or 1 hr 45 min on Sat/Sun for 2 weekends. According to the person who answered the call, they cover Compre/Cloze/1 set of Vocab during each lesson. Have yet to talk to the teacher…

Anyone has experience with Norman Tien Math Tuition Center ? They are conducting PSLE Math intensive program this June Holiday. Quite pricy. Can share experience if your child attended before.

I heard that Norman is quite good but not sure whether he is the one that will be teaching. How much is the intensive hol program? Mathshub @ Bukit Batok is about $400+ for 2 weeks.

I've make an enquiry with them yesterday. Quite expensive. $1800 for 5 full day session. Not too sure worth paying.

BTW, I remembered last year when my son was in P6, there was somebody organizing such programs and he uses RI campus for it. It was popular and cost about 100+, for 1 day lesson. This was done on a yearly basis, after the Prelims and before the PSLE. So he will take all the current year Prelims Maths paper from the top schools and use them in the class.

Gosh! That's really expensive... Personally, I feel that the child will be too tired out to assimiliate concepts taught at the end of day and worst, at the end of week.

Actually, out of the 4 PSLE subjects, the easiest to score A* is Maths and next is MT... followed by Science and English .

True, the person who conducts a one day workshop for Maths at RI is Ernest Wong and his contact number is 91091506

My son did this and I found it quite helpful.
