Do any of you stay nearby ACS? 35 slots hv been taken up by old boys and so not many places left.Wow, Lock, you have the exact same sentiments as me!
Nearest to me is Rosyth but I noticed they don't offer as many CCAs as ACS. I was quite touched by my DS being so considerate over the distance we have to travel to ACS so he said he didn't mind Rosyth even if he has to take HCL.
Well, my DH and I are more or less decided, it's between Rosyth and ACS as first choice, but now will leave it to my DS to make the final decision and pen down the choices. After all, he will be the one who will go through the learning journey and life experiences. As parents, we can only guide them.
Oh, LOCk, do pm me if you've been posted to ACS. -
ds says the teacher in the classroom he was assigned to asked the kids their choices of schools and several boys named ACPS as their first choice.
it is a very good school and the P made a good speech I think, which appealed to many parents.

My thinking is boys from other Methodist schools (same family) may have slightly higher chance?

Sorry think I did not write properly. I meant only 2 Methodist schools with boys. From what I know, less than 4 boys from fairfield are keen in ACS.
Not true as in boys from Fairfield and geylang Methodist will not have better chance? -
I hv asked the teachers at the booth and they told me the selection will be in this order:
1. Based on choice ie. those who put 1st choice.
2. If 1st choice are oversubscribed then give priority to those who previous Sch is a single-sex Sch.
3. Then mission Sch
4. Then distance
