Any idea whether the posting result will be smsed to both the main AND alternate hp no that we entered on the on-line s1 option form?

What’s the chances of getting to Duman High School with T-Score 250 + 2 as first choice?

Reply from MOE:-
We wish to share that for the Secondary 1 (S1) posting exercise -
the posting of students to secondary schools is based on merit, according to the following three criteria:
1) Students’ PSLE results;
2) Their choices of schools; and
3) The vacancies available in the schools.
For example:
Student A
Aggregate Score = 230
First Choice = School X
Second Choice = School Y
Student B
Aggregate Score = 228
First Choice = School Y
Second Choice = School X
Student C
Aggregate Score = 234
First Choice = School X
Second Choice = School W
A child who has performed better in the PSLE will have priority over another child who has not performed as well. Based on the above example, the students will be ranked in order of merit, i.e. Student C, Student A and followed by Student B.
The first student will be admitted first, subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected school. The second student will then be considered. If there is no more vacancy, the second student will be considered for his next choice school - again subject to the vacancies available in that school.
Based on the above example -
Student A will be admitted into School Y. If there are still vacancies in the school, then Student B will be admitted. But if there is no more vacancy in School Y, Student B will then be considered for his next choice of school.
Therefore, merit comes before choice - subject to availability of vacancies in the school.
We would like to further share that the aggregate scores have been rounded to the nearest integer , for the purpose of posting pupils to school. In the event where candidates with the same aggregate score choose the same school, they will be posted based on their unrounded aggregate scores.
If a child fail to get a place in any of his choice of schools, he will be posted to a school near his home which still has vacancies, and for which he meet the school's lowest PSLE aggregate.

for PERMANENT SECRETARY (EDUCATION) -
A small twist to the \"based on merit\" posting though....from this year's grey book...
7.2 In situations where there are two or more pupils with the same rounded aggregate score vying for the last place in a school, they will be posted based on their
citizenship status (i.e. Singapore citizens, then Singapore Permanent Residents,
then International Students)....
Ever so small advantage of citizenship...

Just stating a fact that there Nanyang is completely out. And I would have agreed that Dunman might be likely, if TS had not placed it as the second choice.[/quote]Skyed, I know you took your PSLE 4 years ago & you are waiting for O level results. Maybe you should use more positive comments to encourage your junior.
Whats the purpose of this unnecessary remark? The choice have been made and submission have already closed. And why not dhs? I think she is in with a good chance.Dreamgear:

I can 100% assure you that you will not get the first choice, and likely not the second either. -

My apologies. I just find it absurd that people put schools whose COP are >5 from theirs, when >3 is already a stretch. -

Since the COP for Dunman high is 258/257, I would say the chances is zero. Usually any COP that is >3 from your Tscore is near impossible. -

Last year COP was 256. 2 of my boy's friends got 258 & 259 have choose Dunman High too. Moreover, this COP is going to go up due to 3000 more kids sat for PSLE.
