Just been to Universal Studio during the last week of school holiday. Its good for 1st timer. There are some rides for 4 years old but must warn you most of the rides have very long queue that can take up to 15 mins unless you are getting the express tickets (can shorten your queue but more $$)

The place is small just about 5-6 attractions. But it is reasonable one day out if you don't mind the long queue and hot sun. 😓 There after coming out from universal studio you can visit sentosa other attractions. We had a great time at the Skyline Luge where we slide (roller) down a gentle hill. At first DS was scared but after his 1st attempt he wanted more  .

You can also treat them to a cable car ride to Mount Faber ending your wonderful day at Mt Faber viewing the nite scenery of singapore.... :imcool:

          4 years old?

ZOO is definitely a much better choice.

Beside seeing all the animals, she would enjoy the animal shows and the water playground.

Yes, I think Zoo is a better choice for a 4 yr old too.

For Universal Studio, the kid may miss some rides due to height limit.

Besides, our Zoo is world class but the Universal Studio is not…

Maybe true but we must not forget about the adults that are coming along. Universal Studio make a better interaction for both age groups. I find singapore zoo rather boring.....

After Universal Studio, sentosa is also another source of sight-seeing and entertainments  unlike the zoo after you leave that the end of your trip...boring....

For a 4 yr old, Zoo is a better attraction, just be sure that the kid bring extra clothes or swim wear to enjoy the water play cheers

Zoo Zoo Zoo, the animal and interactions will provide longer lasting memories for a four year old 🙂

But I suspect his/her oversea friends has already left Singapore.
