      MommyK:
Re ACSJ 2014 Phase 2B results:

I thought the balloting was for PRs more than 2km - all SCs who applied under Phase 2B got in.
refer list of primary schools balloting under 2C (2014)

        HI ,

        Under Phase 2C

Does St Margaret Primary School , let u know the lastest update statistics of 1km , 1-2km and 2km and beyond .

Do we need to be at the school to know?
or the Kiasu parents website will update ?
        or MOE will update?

        thanks lots.

The update only available at the school compound or premises itself

For some schools, what they do is place a white board for all parents, to see the numbers updated at regular time interval

Every half hour (particularly on the last day of Phase 2C after 3 pm) :
the P1 registration officer will appear, erase the old figures on white board first, then write down the latest registered number breakdown by the 3 distance group (less than 1 km, between 1 to 2 km, exceed 2 km)
This way, parents at one glance know whether or not they have any balloting hope or chance, for that distance they are in.

example (like this, appear on white board)
          Phase 2A/ 2B / 2C registration

          Date : xx July 2015
Time : zz am / pm

          Breakdown detail
Total vacancies left, for This Phase enrolment : nn

          latest information (updated)
less than 1 km : xx SC, yy PR

between 1 to 2 km : xx SC, yy PR

outside 2 km : xx SC, yy PR

If Total # registered exceed Total vacancies available, then balloting arise

At regular timely interval, the P1 Officer will appear, update first the timing noted, then the latest numbers by distance group, on the white board.
Once parents see the number, they can tell whether they need to ballot or not.
If need to ballot : some may choose another primary school that does not need to ballot, while some may decide to proceed with balloting, try their luck.

When you reach school premises, look out for the white board.
If that school don't have white board, walk straight up to the P1 registration officer (inside General office), ask them how they provide regular timely update to parents who need this critical info.

Moe : only update figures on Moe website, at night (end of day) after finish processing, around 8.30 pm to 9 pm timeframe, sometimes may release update earlier.
But Moe figures provide only one big lump sum figure, not breakdown by distance.

If need breakdown by distance, only the school itself can provide the breakdown, by SC / PR.

              Hi,

Which school to choose? Any kind advise? I am eligible for 2B.

              Radin Mas - 1 -2KM (or) ACJS - above 2KM

any idea above 2KM in ACJS will get confirmed seat in 2B without balloting, for this year registration?

              Thanks

                Hi Parents

Would like to check with the parents here if you’re living within 2km from the school? If no, what is my chances of getting in to the school? Am not sure if the school still has PV?

                Thanks.

                      Dear hello420,

Choose the one that’s closer to your home. It’ll be easier for your child if he/she needs to stay back for CCA, extra lessons, etc.

Thanks jacsplace. I will be registering in 2B. so wanted to know which school will be in terms of academics. Distance wise, River valley primary is nearer.
