Is this bottle defective?

Sun_2010:
Without other details, dat's how it looks to me.
Looks like the bottle was exposed to Steam too long or at higher temp ?
Buds asked to check on amount of time in sterilizer, which IMO, Busymom shd do. -
The bottle indeed looks "fashionable"…so curvy…, better go and change for a traditional one… lemon no lemon, they would want to change for you…

fightingmom:
dat wan looks like a squashed lemon.
Eh...if the purchase was made after 1 Sep 2012, I believe the Lemon Law kicks in already ? Can exchange 1-1 ?
If not manufacturing defect, how can? -
buds:
The bottle is new, think we just took out a few weeks ago. It's a regular Avent bottle, out of a box of two. The other one which we started using earlier, no problem. Anyway, think better return both bottles since I can't be absolutely sure which is which.Busymom:
This is the second time already. The first time when this happened, I thought of returning it. But the bottle went back to its original shape after dunno how long. So no proof even if I bring it back to distributor.
1. Issit a recent purchased bottle? Cud it be a new feature for Avent bottles? Squeezies? To humor the kids? But it has to mean that prior to steaming at room temp, it can already be squished to that shape.
2. How many minutes does your sterilizer take?
The sterilizer is also from Avent. Think it's 12 minutes for 1 cycle. Speaking about the sterilizer, also experienced something funny with this sterilizer. At times, after finish sterilizing, the sterilizer could restart again without anyone pressing the start button... :? -

Monitor the next cycle. It may be that the sterilizer is faulty and not that bottle is already defective at the point it was packed into the box. Do not pour water than the stated amount as well. The determined water level is to cleanse.. sterilize.. and not to bring it to a boiling/melting point.
I've used Avent as well. It's not a tardy brand. It's one of the best-sellers and a world renowned name. Even if you need to change 1-1 I honestly do not think for one moment that it would need any kind of lemon law to grant you exchange.
I'm currently using all-Medela. -

Juz checked the sterilizer box (can't locate manual), supposed to be 6 minutes. But hor, I think it usually takes more than 6 minutes. That's how I got the impression it is 12 mins.
