Is this bottle defective?

Might be the thermostat is defective. Just bring back to them to change or service. I just serviced my aircon today....and there were 2 problems I detected after they left. I called them and they came back immediately after driven away for about 15 mins..
No, we started using it few months back. Was already like that from time to time.Busymom:
The bottle is new, think we just took out a few weeks ago. It's a regular Avent bottle, out of a box of two. The other one which we started using earlier, no problem. Anyway, think better return both bottles since I can't be absolutely sure which is which.
The sterilizer is also from Avent. Think it's 12 minutes for 1 cycle. Speaking about the sterilizer, also experienced something funny with this sterilizer. At times, after finish sterilizing, the sterilizer could restart again without anyone pressing the start button... :?
Sigh, dunno what's wrong.
. After sharing the first problem, I forgot about the second, they left and I called them again... they came back to solve my second problem. And the worst thing is the second problem is very hard to simulate....\"it's like now you hear it, now you don't\".. They patiently waited for the problem to surface and it did... So they finally fixed it for me. I am sharing this to let you know that as long as we have a genuine problem, the service provider will usually help to address it....so don't hesitate anymore and send it for checking or changing.

Another point…
For now… Do not remove the sterilized bottles immediately after the cycle is done. Leave it to cool inside for awhile before taking them out to dry. Plus… whoever is in charge of sterilizing, please exercise more caution. Don’t get scalded or burnt.
Btw, Medela’s cycle is 8 mins. -
Issit still under warranty?
Even if it’s not, as long as its not due to wrongful usage… you should get a new one or have it repaired at a cost. If the cost does not justify then try to push for a new one?
Any mentioned life span? -

This cud mean that the bottle overheated.

1. Issit a recent purchased bottle? Cud it be a new feature for Avent bottles? Squeezies? To humor the kids? But it has to mean that prior to steaming at room temp, it can already be squished to that shape.
2. How many minutes does your sterilizer take?

Monitor the next cycle. It may be that the sterilizer is faulty and not that bottle is already defective at the point it was packed into the box. Do not pour water than the stated amount as well. The determined water level is to cleanse.. sterilize.. and not to bring it to a boiling/melting point.
I've used Avent as well. It's not a tardy brand. It's one of the best-sellers and a world renowned name. Even if you need to change 1-1 I honestly do not think for one moment that it would need any kind of lemon law to grant you exchange.
I'm currently using all-Medela.[/quote]Must be super suay to kenna both faulty bottle and sterilizer right? Actually I m using Medela pump and bottles. Don't have those issues with the sterilizer. My old Avent sterilizer lasted me about 7 years, have the impression that the sterilizing timing is always very consistent. Not like the current one. -

Should be. Bought from Taka. Now I hope we had sent in the warranty card...Issit still under warranty?

Once even get burnt smell... Cos no more water.
Over-zealous sterilizer?
my pigeon steriliser lasted more than 7 years without oversteaming. we usually leave it to steam and auto shut off then return to remove the bottles when they are cooler. -
Personally, I hate warranty cards!
I mean what age are we living in now man geez..
Having to fill up a hardcopy.. have it sent via mail.. keep our portion to present during need and wat nots is so old school. -

We sterilize other bottles at the same time.

My maid feels that this bottle is a little softer than the other one..

Based on wat has been said thus far,
