      Hello all…

Newbie here…would like to know if MPM or CMA would be more relevant for kids preparing to go P1? Please advise. TIA.

Both also no need, bec both don't help in our MOE Maths syllabus

CMA only prepare children for mental sums.
But is our Moe Maths syllabus teaching only just mental sums, or much more beyond ?

MPM doesn't suit our Sg Maths Moe syllabus

If you have an iPhone, do try Maths Mentor, an online assessment book which guides your child with appropriate hints, and motivates him/her with a fun game.

            Hi,

Anyone with kids who are attending SMS-TOP now ? We got the note for Jun module but I have not made up my mind.
Is it still useful if the kid is already quite good in math Olympiad? Or does it helps more on mainstream math ? Thanks for any advice !

            * I tried asking his sch teachers but no info at all, plus sch did not promote SMS-TOP.

Perhaps you could refer to this website for a better gauge whether this enrichment will be beneficial for your child.

Important questions to ask before sending your child to a tuition centre:

                1) Can your child focus in a group of 10 or more pupils?
                2) Does your child ask questions when he does not understand in class?
                3) Is your child weak in Math or is able to take challenging questions?
                4) Have you understood the curriculum that the centre is offering?
                5) Is the curriculum suitable for your child’s learning needs? Too challenging?
                6) Is the method used by the centre easy for your child to absorb and understand and to apply in school?

Hopefully these questions will provide some help.

Anyone saw the newspaper about SmartLab about their Result Guaranteed Programme? I went into their website http://www.smartlab.com.sg to check out more about them. Am tempted to put my children into the programme as they stated that they will give a full refund if our children do not get the grade in the final year examination results.

                    Dear all,

The Educare Forums are not intended for service providers to solicit business, or for parents to ask for recommendation on tutors. Please use the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewforum.php?f=35 instead.

Please note that if you are a service provider and you continue to solicit in threads outside of the Buy and Sell Forums, your account will be terminated without notice.

                    Thank you.

                      dear all

Im looking for a p1 math tuition centre urgently, any recommendation? Peferably around parkway or east/north east. Her math teacher has informed us that her math is below the average in class and require extra attention to build up/strengthen her foundation so that she can catch up with the class.

Does Mind Stretcher help or other?

                      many thanks.
