        Hi Pammy,

How old is your child? My 2 kids are currently attending lessons at Berries (one is P5 & another one in K2). So far, my comments will be Berries are good for building foundation and words recognition. So it will be a good choice if your kids are young. As for my DD who is in P5 now, it did help in her Paper 2, but not so much for her Oral & Compo. That is why I am looking for alternative for her Oral & compo.

Heard good comments about Jiang. But I know they are more suitable for those

who are already quite good in the language. My niece has problems with Chinese
ever since she was in P1. She has home tuition for the past 3 years but now she is in
P4, still no improvement. She is getting around 60 plus to 70 plus. My SIL stays near
Serangoon Gardens. I was thinking of Apple Pie as I think I saw one in that area.

But not sure if it can help her. Anyone knows which tuition centres are good for kids
like my niece? Her foundation not strong and she is not interested in language.
I have heard horror stories from friends about their kids getting A stars for other subjects but Bs for Chinese and they cannot go to any good school.
Hope my niece can get help before it is too late.

P1 girl is having chinese writing from BusyBees (BB). Without chinese environment at home, I think she still need an enrichment class on mainstream lessons. I’m deliberating between the following options. Anyone know of both Berries higher chinese and Yu Ren enrichments centres? Appreciate opinions and comments.

Option 1: Keep BB writing course + Berries = total 2 lessons / wk
Option 2: Only Yu Ren Tuition Centre (Beauty World) = 2 lessons / wk

                Thanks!

                    CL teacher:
kay22: my neighbour is a retired, local school teacher. she was the hod at one of the top 10, independent secondary schools for 10 years. she has set questions for the chinese psle and o-level papers. she is free to teach on mondays and wednesdays. please send me a private message if you'll like to know her fees.

Hi CL teacher, thank you for your recommendation. However, I have already started my dd with Lu Lao Shi and will see how she progress from there...really hope it works! šŸ™
