Hi, anyone can give opinion, my DS next year P3, im applying waiting list from Anderson primary and Catholic. Anderson has offered my DS a place for next yr however we are waiting for Catholic’s reply cos we hope can enter Catholic rather than Anderson. Catholic just called us to submit P2 SA2 result slip. If we are not successful to enter Catholic, must we consider Anderson or just continue his current school at Ahmad Ibrahim? Anderson Sec VP just transferred to Ahmad Ibrahim last few month, we don’t know whether will she improve AIP’s academic?

May I know why are you changing school?
A school's acad overall has nothing to do with your kid. It is an overall. It really depends on how good yours is. Your son will be the one forming the overall results whether it is good or bad.
Anderson is not an acad driven school. If you are looking for a school that drills the kids with many very tough tests and exams above the national average, u are looking at the wrong place. -

Usually 1.1 go to 2.1 unless gets transferred. From pri 3 onwards they are rearranged to different classes based on their IMAS specialization. But it may change coz new principal may have new ideas.Dear all:

I think they are trying to group by results instead as P5 & P6 no longer based on IMAS but on results last year. The IMAS will all begin in the afternoon where students from different classes will go to their respective IMAS. Last year & before, the IMAS programs are in the morning. Normally, the classes are regroup every 2 years. Eg. P1.1 to P2.1, P3.2(IT class) to P4.2(IT Class) (After IMAS grouping), P5.3 to P6.3 (After P4 subject banding) But not sure P6 is doing a regrouping or only when the P5 results differs a lot from the P4 results.
