Hi parents of APS!
Happy new year to all! Hope it is not too late
Does anyone know if the P2 grammar book is already in stock in the bookshop? Is this an optional book to buy? We want to buy it in Dec, but it was out of stock and until today, the class teacher has not asked for it.
Also, I realized that there are some students transfering classes in P2. I am not sure why is this done, and the reason for it. Has anyone any idea on this? Student from the previous 1.1 class is now in 2.6, and one student from 1.6 is now in 2.2.
Thanks, parents.

The grammar book is the same as last year’s. it’s for lower primary. I already bought it in pri 1 but it was never used.
Different kids are transferred due to different reasons. Maybe some can’t mix well with their classmates, some have discipline issues etc. a change of environment may do them some good and perhaps let the parents realise that their kids need help and not that it’s the teachers problem. There are some parents who really think of their kids as angels when they are rascals. Sigh.
Some may be transfer students from other schools. -
Thanks, mashy. In that case, I guess I will not buy the grammar book then.
I realised that students also change class during their mother tongue lesson. My ds used to be in 1.7 for Chinese, but now moved to 2.1 with the same teacher (Mdm Koh Ah Lek). I think they are streaming the P2 students again for their Chinese.
I think you are right, my ds mentioned that the student coming into his class now and the one moved out are the naugthy ones…my ds is not so motivated going to school these days. He complains there are students who are naugthy, like to take his erasers and play it around before returning to him, some sort like bullying. We are just teaching him to be more affirm and report this to his teacher whenever it happens. Have to teach him to defend himself… -

Ya, they reshuffled the Chinese class. Probably based on their results bah. Mine also changed class and teacher. Luckily his good friend also moved with him. Thanks, mashy. In that case, I guess I will not buy the grammar book then.

Yes, teach him what to do with regards to bullying. There have been a few cases in school. But I guess playing with erasers are still pretty mild, can just tell him to keep them properly after use and don't leave them lying around. -
Heard more CCTV were installed to improve bully cases…Hopefully it works!

The school will stream the CL class every year based on the previous year results.

Hi,
Does anyone know if CCAs have started yet?
Would you know who the teacher-in-charge is for Art Club? -

The school is moving to a temporary location after this year...not sure if putting more CCTV now could be a waste of $ coz they have to bring it down soon... but anyway, this is a good idea.
Can't imagine school bullying starts as early as P2...
